My friend's stepdad got wasted and did the macarena while tweaking several bridesmaids on the butt. Now THATS entertainment! I don't think you really need entertainment at a wedding, but we went to a Christmas party for one of the businesses that my husband delas with and they had a magician who did tricks at each table and then a final show at the end. I know it sounds lame (trust me I was ready to make fun of it when I heard there would be a magic show) but it was actually a lot of fun - really cool and impressive. I don't even like magic because my brother the dork was always trying dumb magic tricks when we were kids.

Why do you need entertainment of that kind at a wedding? You will be so busy socializing, eating and dancing (if you liek) that filling the time with entertainment will seem like a waste. You don't want to stress yourself out, you want to relax and enjoy yourself.
My suggestion is a good live band that can entertain with all kinds of music. Or if you are not into dancing, try a classical quartet or harpist.
Good luck!

The best weddings have live music. Large bands really know how to keep the group moving and dancing all night. I would definitely suggest going with a band.

I love ethnic dancing of any kind. In my family, there are a lot of Hawaii natives, so at weddings, it would be pretty normal to have Polynesian dancers perform a 10-minute number. I recently went to a wedding with Sri Lankan dancers -- it was really cool. Irish dancers (like Riverdance) would be great if you have that in your family backgrounds.

Well too start if you have children and any extra room 2 clowns that will keep them busy, a magician before you and the groom show up. taking pictures takes a lot of time out of your reception if you don't plan it properly.
Music for the reception should be enough, if you have a good DJ he will run it for you.
