For those in a successful marriage, how did you and your spouse meet? If you were friends first, did you ever think it would be more than friends? Also, how long after you were together did you realize that your bf/gf was THE ONE you were going to spend the rest of your life with. Please share :)

I lost a wife to breast cancer eight years ago.. Since then I have rarely dated. I met a nice woman nine months ago and we plan to wed in less than six weeks. I love her very, very much. But as we get closer to our wedding, I am starting to have nightmares about my new bride getting sick and dying like my first wife did. Is this just the pre-wedding jitters or something much more serious?

Does anybody here feel obligated to stay close their family when they move out, or do you think it is ok to go and explore living somewhere else? I want to, but I have a guilty conscience and I'm afraid that my guilty conscience will hold me back. How do I help myself get past this whole feeling guilty for moving away?

I don't like being around drunk people. And I know how my fiance's friends get when they're drunk. So I don't want alcohol at the wedding. He does. He says his friends will expect it. *rolls eyes*

I have a lot of little kids in my family who will be coming to the reception and they shouldn't be around that mess either.

He says I'm unreasonable. Am I?

Hey,

Im 20 and started seeing a 28 year old who is an amazing guy, Im crazy about him already. Anyways, He is already a little freaked out by our age difference but is getting over it. Im a virgin, but not the type who is waiting for marriage... plus I wouldnt make him wait forever for me. I just want to be in love and for my first time to be special... Is this going to totally freak him out? What are the chances of him hitting the road pretty quick ?

It doens't do you any good with the ladies to think like you are one of the ladies.

I have a friend who is a sensitive guy and his point of view on things bug the hell out of me. Always touchy of everything. Difficult to deal with sometimes.

Sometimes I wish he would grow some balls to be one of the guy-guy!

im 17 and im in my summer holidays right about now. i love meting friends, im good at school, dont drink or smoke. my dad however doesnt like me going out. i was lucky to go out 3 times this week because my friend was here. now shes gone and im not even allowed to go to the karaoke party coming up. he cancelled it in the last minute, 10 min before i was about to get ready. everyone thinks im coming.... why???? i mean its holidays.. and the place i live in isnt a dangerous area. may dad believe is jsut go out to much. i need more insight and some good argument :(

He is very sweet he goes out of his way to make me happy and does anything he can to satisfy me. but i always think to myself that he's probably cheating on me or doesnt really even like me and i make myself feel like we should break up. When we hang out im happy one mintue and were laughing and having fun, next thing you know im in a bad mood and start acting like a child i dont know what to do. I know i need to change but when i start to try he does something that bothers me and there i go again back in to my childish moods and i dont want to lose him but i have a feeling he's not going to take it any longer. I act rude like that sometimes around my family too, there are reasons to why but i keep making up excuses for my actions. Please give me some advice.

My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over 2 years and we have a 5 week old boy. We have been talking about getting married but i was so indecisive about it. well i am getting over a guy that hurt me very bad.
well my ex dumped me a while back he sd it was b/c of the arguments i belived me at first but then i found out that he met a girl that exact same day he started an argument on purpose!
his brother told us then to put a long story short he got over our 6month relationship in 5 days and went out with her a week later!
he was very mean to me but we became friends but as soon as he went bk 2 were his gf is he told me he didnt want to be friends anymore! i didnt do anything wrong i swear!
but he wasnt like this b4 he used to be nice, self confident, listened to others but since he got friends and a gf were she lives he changed and took it out on me.
i want all this sorting but i dont no how he kept liein to me and i want the truth to come out!! BUT HOW : ' (

About 8 Months ago I found out that one of my friends was my second cousin and ever since we have been inseperable. She means a lot to me and we always have so much fun together. Well there is a guy that puts in so much effort to be with me. Daily, he shows me how much he cares for me and it feels so good to have someone you care about be that way towards you, considering on how many people in their early 20's are not into relationships. Anyhow I found out that 3 years ago my cousin and him messed around, NEVER were they together nor did they ever have any feelings for each other. Well this is where the problem lays, my cousin wants to stop talking to me because I decided to stay with the guy. They both can't stand each other and my cousin is basically making me choose. I would of never considered talking to someone that my cousin either cared about or dated, but that's not the case. Shouldn't she just be happy for me or did I cross the line?
