Congrats on your new baby.....I think if you both love one another and are both working together to build your family then why not get marry?? You probably still can get some assistance if you both are honest and your income is next to none with a newborn...But, the most important aspect is your baby...Everything else you can work together...That is what relationships are about...That is what Marriage IS***
Think about it...(It's the same thing....)

How sad that you don't want to marry someone who is a great dad and who you say you love just because you don't want to go off welfare.
The reason the welfare system is in place is to be a HELP to people as they go through a tough time. It's not meant to be a way of life. Now you've brought a child into the situation, so there is another person living off the system.
People who really need to have the assistance can't get it because so many people are taking the easy way out.

Amazing!! Yet another person having children that they cannot afford to support!! Perhaps you should have waited to have a child until you were financially stable. Marry him! You made a baby with him. I really have nothing nice to say here, so I am going to leave it at that.

find out how much the benefits would change if you got married to him. speak to your social person about that. but that shouldn't be the main reason why you don't get married. if you love each other then do it.

What? I really can't believe that you actually said that. You aren't getting married because you don't want to give up your welfare! Getting married will help to take care of you and your kid and will get you off of welfare. That should be your goal! We have to pay taxes for people like you and it really ticks me off.

wow , other people are harsh!
if you KNOW that you cant make it with the 2 of you working and you need extra help then wait. BUT just because your married doesnt mean that benefits HAVE to stop. They may just be reduced.

Can he take over the expenses if you do. Finances can end a marriage. You might want to wait til you're stable because you will lose a huge chuck of your benefits. Good Luck.

Oh my God, get a job, get married and be a nice productive, responsible citizen. I personally don't want to continue paying for you and your kid.
