What types of foods are the best to serve at weddings. I don't want something too fancy or something lame. I'm think buffet but I'm not sure what kind of places I should call and how much I should except to spend. and what kinds of food should we have in the buffet or is it better to serve at the table sort of family type. I'm a big fan of mexican, italian, and oriental. But I like other foods too. should I do a mix or stick to one type? What's your suggestion? The wedding is next July probably around the 12th.

We recently got back together after being separated for 8 mths. We were dealing with a devastating miscarriage (to me it was devastating) and I found porn that he swore on his mother (he is a true momma's boy!) was not his. For 4 years he always swore it was not his, that he had no idea how it got there and I always yelled and cried "to get the truth". I was very calm this last time and he finally admitted the truth. I left minutes later that led to an 8 mth seperation.
We have gone to counceling 3 times in the last 7 mths we've been back together.As a condition to get back together He promised to go to counceling, but he gives the crappiest reasons why he has not made the appt. I cant "get over it". I feel I need to know if he is giving false reassurance, again. And has a much more serious problem. What do I Do to find out???

I'd go back and change a thing i said to a girl in primary school about not liking her but now i do like her but can't really ask her out (I was in primary school a year ago).

my best friend is always telling me to get a fringe cut cuz ive got a very small forehead and i have baby hairs on the side of my forehead she says''get it cut cuz its not nice its wierd and its not straight ''and i got very offended and when i get offended i always stare into the mirror and think there's something wrong with me!everyone compliments me sayin that my forehead is small and nice and its not big!and my other friend said itsnice and she likes the way my hairline starts...my friend (the one who says bout my hairline)is not exactly perfect she has spots and i always compliment her about how pretty she is and when she compliments me she seems very uncomfortable and its almost like she doesn't wanna say it.what should i do??

Is it wrong for me to want my friend to move in with me? I have dated him for 7 years off and on and he was living with his son mother, but for some odd reason we kept coming back together. He just recently moved out off her house and I belive that she asked him to move out and he's been at his mom's house. He's been over to stay the night but that's all and he said that he wants to come everyday but he hasn't. Is there something that I can do to change things? What should I do? I need real advice like a brother type of advice!! Thanx!

I am a single, 23 year old female. I graduated from college last year and have a good job living 100 miles from my mom. My mother has always been very protective and almost nosey. That was fine as a child, but now I feel I should have some more space. I didn't know a lot of people when I first moved here so I've tried to branch out in a variety of ways, including online communities (MySpace, dating sites, forums, etc). My mother feels that since these are public, she should be able to read and comment as she pleases (like she did my childhood diary). There is nothing bad on any of them, but they are not meant for her. I want public profiles so I can find/be found by friends. But even as adults, my friends are a bit put off by my mother's presence. I've hinted that it bothers me, but it hurts her feelings. She lives .5 miles from her mother and calls her every day. She thinks I don't love her since I don't tell her EVERYTHING about my life. How do I deal without blocking her?

My mother is not that bad and she is a nice person but I don't want to be her daughter. Everything she's ever taught me eventually led me into trouble. You know, she's all diplomatic and wouldn't do anything that would cause a conflict, e.g. when I once got sick and a teacher gave me a wrong pill which could actually kill me, mother didn't do anything about it. I am not a bad person, but when I'm around her I get really pissed off and want to get away from her as soon as possible. I have this idea of what my 'real' mom should be like and I do everything I can to be like her, but that annoys my mother 'cause she would've behaved differently, hence the never-ending rows. I am so tired of this...

The boy is a close friend of both of my boys, same age. His parents have been verbally abusing him and told him to just leave if he did not like the way he was being treated. So he left. (Boys' story) I have spoken with the mother (before I knew where her son is) and she is all over the place emotionally. She denies that her husband verbally abuses their son, (she said this before I even heard otherwise). She is free with advice for my children, but I just listened and did not offer advice. I promised that if her son came to my house, that I would not let him stay there overnight and help him stay away from his home. I promised that I would not let him stay with us in that way. The woman accosted her son in the park next to the school two days ago and cursed him out publically. My sons were having lunch with him at the time, and she threatened to call the police on the three of them, which she did.

Michelle is 15 and Paul is 18. Paul just graduated from high school and he asked Michelle to marry him. Michelle is one of my best friends and she wants me to be one of her bride's maids. They plan on getting married July or August 2008. I am worried that Paul doesn't really love her because he has cheated on her in the past and treated her badly. Michelle has thought she was pregnant 3 times, and he did stick with her though... so i'll give him props for that. Michelle is also going to be one of my bride's maids when i get married in three years to my boyfriend Matt. And our other bride's maid, Lauren will be getting married in three years to her senior boyfriend Austin. (Lauren, Michelle, Matt and I are all 15.) Do you think that we are too young to be thinking about things like this? Do you think that our relationships will last?

My ex cheated/abruptly ditched me. (We really had a great close thing for along time, (obviously not close enough!), I was the longest relationship she's ever had and we had big plans, but she got weak and fell back to the old guy that she admits she had a 4-yr breakup/makeup, toxic, addictive, unhealthy relationship with and just can't get out of her head.) One day, she just went from waking up next to me to stuck back in the old slump again. Just ran off on me.

She's a stubborn, stubborn type and will never admit to being wrong. She wouldn't even talk to me to say good-bye (probably a little guilt and not wanting to admit she was wrong there). It's been 2 months. She's still with the guy and of course, as far as everyone will ever see from her "everything's going just fine".

I'm about to look for an all around year school. My 10 and 13 year old wont stop picking on each other. I have used creative parenting techniques such as making them hold hands and tell each other 3 things they love about their brother/sister, but that only last for a short while. My son is off of summer school, and Ima stay at home mom and my son was out skateboarding yesterday and he asked me if his friend can spend the night, so I said yes by the way theyre 14 y old. I didnt call my husb bcuz he was at work so i figured he would be fine with it.. and I would mention it to him when he gets home he worked late so by that time the boys were asleep. he got upset and told me that mext time to let him know and he doesnt like anyone spending the night bcuz we have a 3 y old lil girl and he states "crap happens" she will be sleeping with us 2nite. so anyways he got upset.

After your break up, did you blame the other person for everything or did you look at yourself and tried focusing on what you've done wrong that played a part in the break up? Even though you felt that the other person was the primary reason for the break up. Did you make a promise to yourself that all you've done in the previous relationship that was not helpful would not be repeated in the new relationship? There's not a single relationship where one person is perfect. The break up may have been 80% that persons fault and 20% yours. Do you feel that you have to improve yourself so that in the next relationship, your 20% will be gone. Where does pointing fingers get you? Nowhere.

Should I call him? Or just forget it...or am I just overreacting?
if a guy you have been talking to asked you to call him later first, but since you are tired of calling him all the time...you tell him to call you later instead. what does it mean if he hasn't called you in a week even though he told you, " yeah, you are a very attractive girl." after asking him if he even likes you?

i stopped calling b/c he told me he was talking to two other girls b4 he started to hang out with me. i was mad about this. do i have a right to be mad? or am i overreacting b/c we were not exclusive. i want to call him, but if i do, then he wins. what do you guys think?

this past weekend I sent him a msg on myspace that said "someone is too busy to say 'hi'. can we say 'whore?" and he wrote me a msg that said 'hi'. i commented him back by saying "smart ***".


yesterday I finally called him and played it cool, as if I didn't even remember what our last convo was about. he asked where i have been and how come i have not called him in a while. I just told him i was busy and had things to do, which was true. i told him i got a new job and the only thing he really wanted to know was if i was talking to any guys and if so what their name was. i mentioned i got a new car and he suggested i come over to his house sometime after work during this week. I told him if i have nothing to do and if im up for it. Am i doing the right thing by still talking to him?

My husband only has limited vacation and his parents want to travel with us to a spot that I've already been to and don't want to return. This trip will be expensive and my in-laws will require hand holding in this country as they don't speak the language and will be dependant us. I really don't want to go. Am I being selfish by feeling imposed on? I've already suggested that we go somewhere else where I haven't been to and they knows that my husband has limited vacation time. My husband and his parents insist on this vacation together. My husband works long hours and we rarely get to see each other so I would a) prefer to travel alone or b) at least go somewhere new where I am interested.
