Do you feel that parents are always parents, even when their kids are adults? Or do you feel that once their kids are adults, their parenting is pretty much over? I'm asking this because I think my mother's parenting skills are going downhill fast. She brushes most issues in her life under the rug, including major issues with my dad (they are still "married"). I feel she is setting a horrible example for my sister and I, and that at least some of my sisters' major marital problems are because of the way my mom is. I am 27, and my husband says I shouldn't see her as such a role model, she's only human, and that my sister is an adult, and can make decisions in her own marriage for herself, and that it's not fair to blame them, even partly, on our mom. My mom also does not make much effort to see her grandchildren, who live 5 miles away, and 30 miles away, yet often makes comments about "how much she misses them"... (my dad makes no effort whatsoever...) Any advice?

I hate how my boyfriend lies to me! like he told me there was a gwen stefani concert and i asked him how he knew and he said the radio...but it so happens that his sister went to it..( i knew inhis head he was thinking that she went..but he never tells me).. also..my bf went to the theatres with his sister and never told me about it..( i dont care if he goes out with sister, but he like lies to me about it).. half a year later i found tickets that he went to watch it and he said he didnt watch it with her..then i had to drag it out of him..and he sed he did.. it just makes me wonder what i was doing at that time and what he sed he was doing.. he knows im jealous of his sisters..so he tries to hide everything from me..but when i find out , i get even more mad.. i jsut want him to be honest firsthand.and he calls justin timberlake JT which he never did until his sister did.and i try to engage in convo so i sed i like him and he says what song do you know. like his sister better than me

I just can not convince my husband to turn his dirty socks right side out. He removes his socks by pulling them over his heel, then leaves the rolled up stinky things for me-usually hidden under the coffee table. I tried not doing the laundry but ended up with a whole load of socks!(he will go and buy more) Is this a guy thing????

i was talking abuot wanting a this particular Louis vuitton purse ($1000)all day to my boyfreind and how i wanted it and how i would buy it soon.. then i see my boyfriends sister coming out of the car with EXACTLY the same purse!.. my bf kept on telilng me if i really like it, it shouldnt stop me from buying it.. its just the fact that if we get married..its SO weird isnt it?? for sisters and sister in law to get exactly same purse??i so want it but i hate the feeling.. im also jealous bcuz whjen we looked at that purse at the store..he said its very nice... and now since i dont want the same bag.. i wanted to get another one but he doesnt like that one..and it pisses me off knowing that he likes his sisters purse better! which was what i wanted.. i hate when he likes other ppl stuff besides mine! why ami jealous for??? help me. please

we have been goin strong for 4 months know and we are really in love..but know that its summer we both work and only get to see echother once a week and its dificult...should i try to stick it out or break it off so i dont feel hurt when i dont get to see him...even though i really love him...and also when we see echother we throw so much emotion into it that i think that one day we might go to far like sex and we aren't ready for that. If someone dies without a will, and there are three heirs left. One of the heirs dies before probate closes, and the estate funds are disbursed. My ex-girlfriend and I were together 3 years, I promised marriage a few times, but just stalled and stalled and stalled. Well, when I thought we were just taking "time off" to think about what we really wanted, she reconnectd with an ex, then married him 5 months later. This is an obvious rebound marriage, I am sick to my stomach and love her too much.
This happened 3 months ago. Since then, she has emailed my mom many times, telling her how much she loves me, missed me, how she might have made a mistake, etc. But, she hasnt done anything about it, or has not gotten a divorce.

Her birthday is on Monday. It is so important for her. Should I email her? Do nothing?

Me and this guy have been reali close for about a year now. we trust each other completly, and things have been gettin reali flirty lately - we've talked about wat we want to do to each other (ye, use ur imagination! lol) - he started it, and we both admitted to wanted to physically be with each other, but not that we liked each other. he has a bit of a reputation for being a player, but i do genuinly think he meant it, even if that might make me seem niave. we've been gettin hassle from everyone else bout how close we are for months, we spend all our free time together and pretty much everyone thought us gettin together was inevitable - but then he got a new gf. i reali dont know wat to do - he's promised it wont change nythin between us, but i dont see how it cant - he's alreadi comin to me wit problems bout her and im findin it hard to be the frend he deserves without lettin ma feelings get in the way, please help me!

Two black customers (husband and wife) told my coworkers and my boss that I'm a mean and not friendly skinny girl and that they don't like me. I know I shouldn't let this get to me , but it bothers me because they're the first ppl to say that I'm mean. Everyone else say that I'm very shy and sweet !! So, why do these ppl think I'm mean? I haven't even talked to them, geee they don't even know me. I broke up with my ex, because he was phsyco, 11 years older than me, and immature. He also cheated on me. During the time we lived together he physically and verbally abused me.
I saw him mons. after breaking up. I had seen him before, but never spoke, he would stalk me, watch my house, say if he can't have me no one will, and leave me horrible messages on my phone, or car.... One day he saw me in wal-mart, I had a long day at work, it was about midnight, and I was with a male co-worker. He freaked out on me... It took 3 employees to get him off of me and make him leave. I didn't press charges, but I decided to get a restraining order after he said how he was gonna kill me and my sisters next time he saw me. He lost his job over the situation after he broke the restraining order a few times. He needed his job, but his boss likes me better than him, should I feel bad?
