Well, here in the U.S., these won't effect any of us at all.
I have a hard time believing any person could possibly be concerned about how a Domestic Violence act would screw up their marriage...you shouldn't be violent with your spouse anyway!
And I also think it's shocking that there are still people who "sell off" their daughters with a dowry. I guess it's a cultural thing, but from where I'm sitting, this is highly offensive. I am not anyone else's property to be bought or sold!

WHAT????? Anyone who is in a domestic violence situation needs to get out asap! I was in a situation like that and it took me 14 yrs. to get away from it, but I did and actually live to tell about it. (Not that it matters here anyway). DV will most definetely screw up your sex life, because if you slap ME around, your darned sure aren't going to get any and as for screwing up your marriage? Yep! I'm outta here!!
