Is it wrong for me to want my friend to move in with me? I have dated him for 7 years off and on and he was living with his son mother, but for some odd reason we kept coming back together. He just recently moved out off her house and I belive that she asked him to move out and he's been at his mom's house. He's been over to stay the night but that's all and he said that he wants to come everyday but he hasn't. Is there something that I can do to change things? What should I do? I need real advice like a brother type of advice!! Thanx!

Hey, since you asked for a brother kind of advice, this is what I would tell my sister..
To me it seems that both of you really care for each other as you kept getting together for the last 7 years, which is good and it shows that there is compatability there. All this while he has not had the courage to walk out of his son's mom's house until she asked him to leave. Ok, here is your situation. Since you genuinely care for this guy I feel this is the time for you to persuade him to move in with you, he might be hesitant but you got to bring him home and take care of him, guys prefer that kind of treatment, believe me. Do this out of respect and not out of sympathy and he'll appreciate it. Isnt this what you always wanted?

If I were your brother I would tell this guy to leave you alone. He can't make a commitment to what is important. He has already Fathered a son that will have to grow up without him. Do not let him ruin your life as well. You need someone who knows what it is to be a man, not a boy.

If you can't figure this one out, you need to leave him where he is until you can educate yourself. You don't need help to do badly in life.

Some people have to learn the hard way. No matter how many people try to tell you it's wrong, you'll probably go ahead and do the wrong thing anyway. Experience is the only teacher. Let him move in and see how right I am.

No its not wrong, but i believe your very first step is to both sit down and ask him the question ,"Do you wont to be honestly serious with our future relationship or not. Both should know the truth of this question after 7 years!! But try not to be to upset if the answer is different then the one you hope for!!! Best of wishes.

I don't think there is something you CAN do. But there is something you can not do. Let him experience what it is like not coming over to your place.

It's time for that test. I know you don't want to risk it. But if you don't risk it now, you'll find out what the answer is only after wasting so much time.

If he was a man, he wouldn't be going back to his mommas house, sounds like he's a mommas boy to me.

He needs to grow up and get a place of his own, he should be the one doing the asking!

If you are truly confident in your relationship with him, I would suggest confronting him about it. He's likely to shy away, but keep pushing; it's the only way people get me to do things. Good luck to you, though.

I would suggest you talk with him and discuss how you feel. His opinions are more important than ours. The most important thing is how he treats your feelings and desires, and is he respectful of you.
