My guy and his mom are dancing to this one:
-Van Morrison
-Days Like This
When it's not always raining
There'll be days like this
When there's no one complaining
There'll be days like this
When everything falls into place
Like the flick of a switch
Well my mama told me
There'll be days like this
When you don't need to worry
There'll be days like this
When no one's in a hurry
There'll be days like this
When you don't get betrayed
By that old Judas kiss
Oh my mama told me
There'll be days like this
When you don't need an answer
There'll be days like this
When you don't meet a chancer
There'll be days like this
When all the parts of the puzzle
Start to look like they fit
Then I must remember
There'll be days like this
When everyone is up front
And they're not playing tricks
When you don't have no freeloaders
Out to get their kicks
When it's nobody's business
The way that you wanna live
I just have to remember
There'll be days like this
When no one steps on my dreams
There'll be days like this
When people understand what I mean
There'll be days like this
When you ring out the changes
Of how everything is
Well my mama told me
There'll be days like this
Oh my mama told me
There'll be days like this
Oh my mama told me
There'll be days like this
Oh my mama told me
There'll be days like this
Oh my mama told me
There'll be days like this

Landslide by Stevie Nicks
I DJ'd a wedding a couple years ago and the couple had not resolved any of the music beyond the Bridal March so I picked it. The Mom/son danced to Landslide, daughter/Dad danced to Oh, Daddy by Fleetwood Mac and for the bride and groom I picked Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. When they finished dancing the groom tipped me an extra hundred right out of his wallet while the bride wiped tears from her eyes.

How about "My Wish" by Rascall Flatts...
I hope that days come easy and moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,
More then anything, more then anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it,
To your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more then you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.
I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more then you take.
Oh More then anything, Yeah, and more then anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it,
To your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more then you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I just got married 2 weeks ago and my husband danced with his mother to "Don't go changing" by Billy Joel. It is a very nice song but not too mushy and a lot of people complimented it.

Shinedown - Simple Man
Well Mama told me when i was young
said sit beside me my only son
listen closely to what i say
and if you do this it will help you some sunny day
take your time, dont live to fast,
troubles will come and they will pass.
you'll find a women and youll find love
and dont forget that there is someone up above.
chorus:
Well be a simple kind of man
Well be something you love and understand
Well be a simple kind of man
Oh wont you do this for me son, if you can
Forget your lust of rich man's gold
All that you need now is in your soul.
And you can do this if you try
All that i want for you my son is to be satisfied.
Chorus
Oh dont you worry, youll find yourself
Follow your heart and nothing else
And you can do this oh baby if you try.
All that i want for you my son is to be satisfied.
Chorus x2
