It seems that it is becoming more popular to be more fake about emotions involving attraction, love and romance. What is with this recent trend of being witty over being romantic. The term "casanova" seems to be prevalent in todays society. This is a time where if you were to recite Neruda or Lorca in your twenties your supposedly just trying to be a casanova and get laid, yet there are a lot of people who actually believe in poetry and romance , why is it that a moronic rapper talking about "my baby or my bu" is considered romantic when it has no poetic value, yet for some reason in society being able to talk in a slang vernacular and act like a "player" is cool, and then woman say they don't like players , yet romantics and players are two very different types, what is funny is that woman are not avoiding players they are accidently avoiding the true romantics they seek and they find a player again because this society of full of cynical realist who can't believe in romance

My husaband and I have been married only a year and have gone through drug, alchohol and now porn addiction. he has been getting on the computer and looking up porn. i told him right from the beginning how bad it makes feel and he promised he wouldnt do it anymore but of course did. then i put a lock on the computer and that didnt work either because he still looked at it somehow. im all out of ideas and am fed up with getting my heart broken with every addiction especially since he dosnt even beleive he has a problem. yesterday i packed his stuff and simply said it was over and of course he begged his way back into my life and i let him, only if he looked up how to fix his problem with me on the internet. i left room for one minute to go pick up our crying baby and he somehow managed to look up two porn sites in that time. now guys say its not a problem but when it becomes a need rather than a desire, well i think there is something wrong with that.

What do you think about this?

This American woman isn't conventionally pretty but is wealthy. Man doesn't have a job (in school studying business) and is not a US citizen. She has 2 middle-school-aged kids. They've known each for less than a year. He's moving in in July and they're getting married in December.

What's your impression?

I scheduled our wedding rehearsal for 4:30 with the dinner catered at the same location at 6:00pm. At that point out of town guests and family will join the wedding party for dinner. Is an hour and a half long enough for the actual rehearsal portion? We have a wedding party of 16 and our soloist, organist and pastor will be there as well to walk through.

Would it bother you or be a problem if your girl proposed to you? Keep in mind you guys are talking about getting married in about 3 years. So does it matter if she proposed first?

My sister has told me that she does not plan to have me as her matron of honor because I live too far away. I understand that she has a right to choose whomever she pleases. She's picking a friend who she has known for two years, and excluding me entirely -- as she claims that I can't be a bridesmaid because I am married (???). She is selecting her attendants as if it were a job interview, based on their ability to perform certain tasks, not on how close she is with them, or how appropriate their inclusion would be. I'm competent to perform these duties -- in fact, I used to work as an event planner. I feel that even though I live miles away, I can do 90% of the work, and everything on the day itself, and I hate to admit it, but I am seriously offended. We have always been pretty close, so that doesn't seem to be the issue. She served as my maid of honor while living far away -- I simply divided those duties among others who were closer, and let her have the appropriate "honor". So...?

because I dripped the motor oil on her new rug as I was cleaning the engine rod. She told me to never do this in house. Now she says she is very sad. Should I buy her new apron to make her satisfy.

I always told myself I would be cool if my best friend got a girlfriend, but I think its becoming a wedge between us.....we still hang out a lot, but she comes everywhere, and its weird because I was good friends with her before, but now their together and when we hang out its really weird for me because they are always together....it just feels like they don't care about me, i'm not trying to be selfish or anything but I can never hang alone time with him, I'm not used to sharing him....I talked to my pastor and he said to just pray and forgive my friend, but I really wanna call my friend out on it, what should I do?

Would he drive you insane?
Could you make it through being there with him, alone?
With only him to talk to?
Only him to share everything with?
Or would you be the one to drive him insane?
What do you think would happen?

A friend of mine has a severe case of bad breath. Should I tell them about it? And how?

My son is turning 18 soon and has recently begun dating. However his first girlfriend has very small breasts, probably an A-cup. Now god bless his heart, he loves her ever so much, but I'd like to set a firm precedent to avoid future heartbreak.

I wouldn't want him to be ridiculed by his friends and classmates for 'going out with a flatty' as I would have been back in my younger years. Unendowed females are also generally emotionally unstable due to low self-esteem (I don't want a teenage drama queen on my son's hands!)

My biggest worry is that many years down the line, their female children would be 'flat chicks' as well. I'd like my son to be a spittin' image of his old man, and to help him avoid some obvious mistakes.

Should I forbid him from dating her or let him figure it out for himself over time?

I dont know how to tell it wont work. his family told him a long time ago to let it go and find a diff girl but for some reason he got excited and stayed attached to me. but i just realized it wont work when he said certain things. how do i tell him without hurting him and having his family laugh at him?
