I told this man I would go on a date with him when he came in to my state. its been a couple of months and and hes still so thrilled at the idea of going on a date. mind you i never met him and dont know much abt him. anyways so recently i found out that he wont be the guy for me but how am i suppose to tell him. hes still soooooooooo excited. I dont know how to tell it wont work. his family told him a long time ago to let it go and find a diff girl but for some reason he got excited and stayed attached to me. but i just realized it wont work when he said certain things. how do i tell him without hurting him and having his family laugh at him?

go out with him and tell him why you do not have him in your future plans. that will benefit the both of you.

His family is his affair. Don't worry about them. The best way to handle this is to tell him truthfully. yes, it will hurt him like hell, but not nearly as much as if you lie to him and he finds out.

Tell him what "certain things" he said that turned you off of him. Yea it might hurt his feelings but, it's honest.

either way hes going to get hurt.
theres not really a way to tell someone you dont want to be with them without huerting them
