I scheduled our wedding rehearsal for 4:30 with the dinner catered at the same location at 6:00pm. At that point out of town guests and family will join the wedding party for dinner. Is an hour and a half long enough for the actual rehearsal portion? We have a wedding party of 16 and our soloist, organist and pastor will be there as well to walk through.

The rehersal will probably take about an hour...good luck :-)

The ceremony itself should take only 30 minutes.
So the rehearsal should not take over an hour.
A lot depends on how attentive people are.
I would tell the out-of-towhers to arrive at 5:30pm.
Assuming everyone will sit down at 6:00pm.

That should be plenty of time, especially if people arrive on time to the rehersal, and pay attention and don't goof off. Through our wedding officiant service (www.lovewithnoboundaries.com) we find that the average rehersal lasts 45 minutes-1hr 15 minutes, depending on the length of the ceremony, songs involved, and cooperation of the wedding party.

Mine took like 20 mintues, but we had a small wedding party. 6 should be fine if you are waiting for others to arrive and a later meal would be better than one at 4:30- I think. Congrats.

Thats going to be perfect. we did two run throughs or our service and it took about 45 minutes. This will give you plenty of time to get to the restaraunt and greet people as they arrive.

Good luck!

you should be fine as long as you're pretty sure of how you want things to go. if you dont, you'll end up spending your time making decisions about who stands in what order or little questions that could have been answered prior to that time. good luck and congratulations!

That should work as you skip all the speaking and essentially just walk, sit, stand - go through the motions.

Call the minister, ask him/her how long these things run, and add an hour.
