I meet a guy. My heart says he is cute and nice and has many things i like. My head says he is younger than me and wont want to settle down even he says so and i do not want to force him into this either. Also he requires some personality that i don't have ( e.g. I joke on many things and he thinks i am a bit overboard).

Should i stop trying or should i give it a go- we just meet for a month and only been to a couple of dates..

I just got done watching the episode of "whose wedding is it anyway" where the couple call off the wedding 4 days before.
I felt so bad for that poor wedding planner because you could just tell that he didnt like the bride first off, but had to work with her because he accepted the job and 2ndly because she was so tough to work with and he really bent over backwards for her and then she called off the wedding after all his hard work.

I have to ask the wedding planners on this board, does this happen alot and do you generally like all your brides?
I would love to hear stories if you have any!

i rarely get to see my dad, i have 2 toddlers and my hubby works, so its hard to go that far.

dad & sis brought the grand child to my hometown for a zoo visit... they called and i knew they were in town & suggested they meet me and drive back to my house (10 minutes from the zoo) but never even called me back...it really hurt my feelings, found out later dad stayed at a resturaunt/bar while the others were at the zoo!

what would u think?

Okay... Im a hyper person and I love to have fun. Im just an average kid. Not popular, not nerdy. But I am kinda flirty. I dont usually talk much to people outside of my lil group of friends (which is pretty diverse) simply b/c it's outta my comfort zone, and Im not good at it. I recently found out that alot of people dont like me, b/c they think im stuck up, and think im all that. Im not even popular, and I dont wanna be! I would nt normally say hi to sombody outside my lil group, b/c either I think theyre mean, or theyre too popular and would blow me off. Why do people think this about me, and how do I change? Im not mean to people!

My ex and I have been divorced for 4 years. We have two kids: a daughter, 13 and a son, 15. We have had various issues in the past where he has been irresponsible and used very poor judgement where the kids are involved. For example, 1 1/2 years ago, he left them in the care of his stepson's wife ( approx. 30 yrs old), who sent her 9 yr old out hunting w/out an adult. He accidentally shot my daughter with a .22 rifle, which caused her to need surgery to rebuild her thumb. New Year's Eve this year, the kids came back from their dad's that afternoon. We did not know my ex had given my son two bottles of toilet bowl cleaner and aluminum foil, which he used to blow up a 2 liter bottle while spending the night at our neighbors' house. This weekend he sent them with his 17 yr old daughter (who has1 mo old, and who he had not seen or talked to since she was 12, and not since she was 1 before that). She took our son out partying. What can I do to stop this from happening again?

Okay so, my husband and I are getting a divorce and I have no clue how I'm going to make it with our 2 kids. I'm moving out in 1 month into an apt. that he co-signed for me. Now he's pulling out and I have no one to cosign for me. I don't make 3 times the rent and need a cosigner. I hate feeling trapped by him all the time... under his control at all times. I've been a stay-at-home mom the majority of the time and don't have any special training past highschool. What are other moms in my type of situation doing? I don't understand how people with a small income can afford childcare AND an apartment and other necessities. Also, I'm diabetic and am not going to have any medical insurance. I have no idea what to do! Please, if you are a mother with children that had a divorce w/minimal schooling then PLEASE help!

My brother & I are both adults, & I'm a college student, so I'm living with him until I can get my own place. People tell me "you gotta respect his house.", but I am supposed to get a car soon, & he said with an attitude, "& we not gon' rush to get no car!" But it's MY money. & he's violating my Family Educational Rights to Privacy Act. With my financial aid money, after school is all paid for, I have a right to do what I want with it. It's not his business.

I believe he's going TOO far with controlling me & taking advantage of his authority. I help him pay my share of the rent & the bills, so as long as I can afford to do that, why can't I get a car as soon as I please? Right now I have no transportation to school. He has a car, but he's always gone, so I have to take the bus, which takes 2 1/2 hours to get somewhere, whereas if I were driving, I can get there in 5 minutes. & the bus transportation is very limited & doesn't run that much. I NEED a car living in this town.

we got recently married. my wife resigned her job after marriage and she told me that she is resgining and wants to start a family and doesnt want to work. my wife has been maintaining contacts with her male colleagues at office. during browsing i stumbled upon an email id. (My wife says that she uses her former male colleague's email to chat with him now). But in our last few months, i didn't notice any change in her behaviour towards me and she is very good and caring towards me. Except occasionally she cribs about how away we are from our individual families and friends.

Should i take this seriously?

The other night is worrying me My boyfriend and I were over at his parents and I walked in on a convo about me welll what seemed to be about me. He swears that it wasnt but I really still do think it was. I have recently been diagnoised with anxiety and my counceler has told me I need to include him in this process of getting better. But it is hard when I feel like I am annoying him. And i feel I want to stay away from his mum for a little while. Should I approch him about this again eventhough he wasnt happy when I brought it up last time? I also would love to hear how he is feeling so i want him to tell me instead of other people even if it hurts me a little.

I met an excellent guy spring of last year.We hit it off extremely well until things went south because of a favor I did for one of my guy friends.I understand now how things may have appeared, but me and my friend are truly just friends and no more, but the guy doesn't believe it.He feels like the favor was too out of the way and that's something I'd do for a boyfriend or family member.I'm just a good friend like that but now I really understand how he feels and I feel bad but I can't take things back.Anyway, me and the guy have had so much distance between us although we keep in touch time to time; I don't get to see him at all, but he visited me Friday for the 1st time in 2months. I like him a lot and I know he likes me too, but what can I do to get him to come back. I feel like both my hands are tied. He makes it so difficult.Why won't he just leave me alone if he's so mad at me?Why doesn't he disappear, why does he keep in touch? Mainly, what should I do. I like him!

Ok. Here is a little more info for everyone who is giving me this MUCH needed advise...
-he sees his parents about as much as I see my mom
-he told me once that he heard from my cousin that no one on my dad's side of the family likes her--i think he may tell her what he heard...
-her own sister has told my husband that she dosen't get alon with her sometimes--he'll probably tell her tis too...
-christmas isnt too far out when you have to ask off work NOW and make flight arrangements NOW
-staying home is NOT an option (grandparents, friends, etc..)
-mom dosen't treat him like a jerk--she never says any thing negative to or about him--he just dosent like her views and attitude about things.
-i really do feel like SOMETHING needs to be said or it will continue to happen EVERY YEAR. Lying about the reason why he isn't going to be there is NOT an option.
-should i stay completely out of it or get up in the middle of it (really dont want to)??

My boyfriend is in another country he went to see his mom because she was getting an operation. He left almost a month ago. He calls me when he wants sometimes he tells me that he would call at certain time and doesn't even call. He told me to buy phone cards to call him because the cards are too expensive overthere and that he would pay them when he
comes back. He tells me that he loves me and that he misses me alot that he can't wait to see me. Sometimes i believe him but sometimes i dont. I love him with all my heart but i think he really doesn't love me as i love him.

I have been married for almost 5 years. At the time I met my husband I was thinner. In the last 2.5 years I started having thyroid problems & my health was declining. I was gaining weight & miserable.
During this time my husband became less attracted to me. He was spending more time at the bars or out gambling (has a gambling addiction) He is distant with me & has said he wants to meet other women.
Now my thyroid has been in normal range & I have lost nearly 40 lbs so far. Every day he asks me how much weight I have lost & seems to be watching me closely through my weight loss.
I'm losing interest in the marriage as a result. Why is this happening? How can I stay married to someone who only cares about how I look to him? Do men fall out of love that instant? When I get to my goal weight, I'm considering leaving my husband. I can't accept the fact that he will only love me because of how I look. Is this how all men are?? If so, that just pathetic!! Does anyone else feel this way?

Me & wife have been together for 5 years married for 3. We had our normal relationship problems & I wasn't the best man I could have been but always respected her & never cheated on her. We had some finacial problems & fighted over them. Then she came to me & said she was unhappy with me & herself that she needed space & that she didn't love me any more but she stayed for 2 more weeks & I thought we where trying to work things out when out of the blue she left in the middle of the night & hasn't been home since. We went to a couple of counseling classes & she quit them. We have been seperated now for 3 months & it has broken my heart also the first thing she did when she left me was go & get a boob job! We have a daughter that is 2 years old. Her family & I are very dissapionted & sad & just do not understand why she's doing all this & why I deserved this! I would just like for somone to help understand is this out of selfishness or could I have been a better man! I love this woman very much!!

The seperation was pretty painful, I mean I know this is just my perception but he was a real jerk during the whole thing. I tried repeatedly to get him to reconcile and now, not even a month after the divorce has been finalized he wants to try again? I'm sure that I love him but I feel pretty numb... I had finally accepted moving on. The thing that sucked about the whole thing from the get go is that he didn't want to divorce me because I cheated, or was unbearable to live with...not because he didn't love me anymore, not even because he was cheating ( not 100% sure, but pretty certain),..he wanted a divorce because we argued...alot. But we were going through some stressful times, we had just gotten into a new home, we both had new jobs ( we're both prior military) and we were in the process of a custody battle over my two older children from a previous relationship. I know we had alot on our plate, but did that give him the right to just leave me?
2gether 6 yrs, married 6 mos.
