O.k...here's the dilema. so bf and i have been dating, roughly for over a year, physical for 4 mths, no sex yet. we have taken two breaks. so, length of relationship depends on who you ask.
there is an age gap, 8 years. he's the young one. our relationship is unique in that we bridge the age gap, really enjoy each other, and have lots of fun.
we have been talking more about having sex. he even said"it would bring us closer together". bad guy line? he also hasn't said, i love you. i know he cares alot by what he does. our relationship has moved at a snails pace. both very caustious people.
part of me wants to have sex with him. I am prepared but I am a virgin and didn't wait this long to sleep with the wrong guy. I am not waiting for marriage just the right relationship. i am scared. I doubt we will get married b/c he is chronogically young. so i am not sure if i want to have a sexual relationship with someone and we will depart in a 1/2 yrs.
thoughts? things i should think about?

Back when people married their highschool sweathearts they married when they were fresh in the world with not much past or history. The couple started out young together and went through everything together from the start. Now everyone waits so old to marry and end up divorced anyway. Marrying at an older age means getting involved with someone who has a past and you never know for sure what that is. If you marry someone who is in their 30's, how do you know if they have cheated on their taxes or owe the irs lots of money, how do you know what stds they might have picked up in their years of casual relationships, their situations with ex wives and obligations to children from previous marriages? Isn't it better when people marry young and begin their adult lives together rather than collect so much baggage along the way? Almost everyone ends up in a second marriage and not because they married young either, as most of they divorced guys I have met married in their 30's or 40's.

I fear I've made a huge mess of a problem I'm having. Recently, I began to suspect my husband was having an affair with another man, and rather than confronting him directly, I sought the advice of friends and family. Now that I've finally confronted him with my suspicions he has not only denied them but is very upset that I discussed this matter with several other people before him, who have now formed their own opinions of him based on what I said. Is there anything I can do to make this situation right?

I'm 20 and my girlfriend is 19. We will have been together 4 years in August. I love her with all my being and more and she equally loves me back. We have been through rough times but we always stayed strong and helped each other through the fire. She's everything to me. I have more faith in her than over half my family members. I was wondering can a relationship like this still be here years from now?

Would it be normal to touch base just to say hi or is that a bad idea?

I was going for it this way, to settle things amicably, but my ex has gone the other way. He's made stuff up, to make me look worse. even though he could have just gone for irretrievable differences and he's asking for a settlement, and allowance. I did go off with another guy, but only after ALOT of other stuff, emotional abuse, sometimes physical. he'd touch me even though he knew i didn't like it. i want to just say that the things he said weren't true without going through everything that happened in court. what should i do?

I really need someone who can listen to me, who can hear out my pain, my problems and can give me attention that I need.
There was a friend who had been there for me for a very long period but now she is busy with her life, family and studies.
Now as she is not able to spend time with me like before I named her user. Bcoz she calls me only when she is free though she had put her effort to be in touch with me regularly but it was me who had told her to contact me only when she is free bcoz I did not want to be like a burden on her.
I need more of her time, I want to talk to her daily. I am not able to tell her what I want from her. I knw she wont understand till I tell her what I want, I dont want to come across as a needy person and it will be foolish of me to tell her that I want her time and her attention. I dont know how will she react. I feel comfortable only talking to her not with my other my other friends.
Now when I talk to her I feel very happy but sad after finish talking

My ex ended our relations 2 1/2 months ago as she said her feelings on me changed over a short period. Throughout our relationship of 9 mths, and only 3 or 4 weeks before that, we were in love. She used to say to me she loved me, wanted to live with me etc

Things changed very quickly. She became cold with me and ended things. For a mth after I tried to persuade her to give us another chance but she said I was better off without her, and she knew I would find someone who "would be as lucky to have met me as she was". Weird comments!

I have left her alone to give her space. I realised all my trying to persuade her was not working and pushing her away more.

I want to try and get her to see why she fell for me, and me her, in the first place. I am gonna call her in a couple of wks to suggest a meet up, no strings, and just be myself. If we are still attracted to each other we will know it, if not, then at least I tried.

Tips to do it without being pushy? Ladies thoughts??

Seriously ladies, lay off the make up a little bit!

Jeez, the other morning I went running out of my office because we were being attacked by clowns. It just turned out to be a bunch of female co-workers dressing up for a big "baby shower" or some crap like that.

Like the kid won't turn out to be a nazi or rapper anyway.

How do you know when you are ready to take things further physically in a relationship? My bf and I have known each other for about 1 1/2 years. We both want to take our relationship further physically. Will becoming intimate change our relationship for the better? Is it normal to feel nervous in taking this step?

Married wih a 5 yr old. We live in a small community, live paycheck 2 paycheck. I want to go for nursing and in 4 years return to get a decent paying job @ the local nursing home/hospital. My husband said yes to this idea but now that I got the $ to go he's really negative, he says he's being realistic. I know we will be scrimping while I am at school but in 4 years the amount of $ I can bring home will make a huge impact on our family life, actually being able to afford the necessities! My question is how can I get my husband to be a little more positive, I know it will be tough, but we gotta stay positive. Also he seems like he doesn't want to start saving money to move, or think about getting stuff stored away. He has also said how are we going to find a nice house with a garage, I was thinking decent, yet cheaper apartment!! We don't live in a nice house now! HELP how can I get him to be positive and supportive, I think I can get the $ for the next 3 yrs 2 since we are poor!!

I am in an utter depression, just so sad as my girlfriend/ex got married 2 months ago. We were together 4 years and she moved back to her country (ecuador) in late 2005, so we were long distance the last year. I heard in Jan that she was engaged and she got married in Feb to some guy she had been "dating" for 4 months. I went there tried to convince her to change her mind and marry me, but at that point she wouldn't, just said she already had too many plans made. I think she just got obsessed with geting married, didnt think I would do it. Since her marriage, she has emailed my mom many times, telling her that she cries for me all the time bcs. she knows I am suffering/sad. She says she is trying to make her marriage work, but that she always cries for me and is sad bcs she thinks about me and it makes her upset. She called me after her wedding crying, and then again called me yesterday. Why is she doing this? I love her, but why? Is she upset for me or upset for her decision?

i have been seeing this girl, going out on dates with her for the past month, everything has been going great. last week we kissed and stuff and the rest of the night went well. then she started avoiding me though the day after and a few days later she left me a message saying she wants to date me, but does not want a relationship with anyone.

i just dont understand what the point of dating soemone is if it is not working up to a relationship. should i tell her how i feel about this and let her know im not interested in just dating with nothing else then a date in the future.

she just got out of a long term relationship a few weeks before we met, i honestly dont know if i should start talking to her less or if i should tell her that i am not itnerested in merely dating her for the sake of "having fun" with no chance of a relationship.

Hello. I am 20 years old, married to the love of my life for two years. We are generally very happy and have small, but not major, fights. We are perfect for one another and compliment each other well. Until about 3 months ago everything was wonderful. I found out that my parents (both biological) are getting a divorce, and there has been a lot of drama. Anyway, since finding out my husband and I have been fighting a lot more about things that aren't even worth the fight. It's like we're both on edge about the whole thing. I don't know what to do. I love him so much and I know that he loves me with all his heart and we don't want our relationship to be repressed and on the fritz just because my parents are getting a divorce. They have been together for 24 years and are separated at the moment. My dad and I do not speak because of issues in our past. How can we survive my parents divorce and continue to love and honor each other? He is the love of my life and my soulmate I wont lose him

have been with my fiance for 4 1/2 half years. I have never cheated on him! This past month, I have been talking to a guy behind his back that lives up north. The guy and I were not talking about personal issues and knew very little personally about each other. My fiance found out and he went ballistic. I apologized and he says he is over it. He has become outstanding paranoid though. He has always been jealous but now he checks my emails, forum posts, bills, call history, & text messages about 10 times each a day. We have been arguing for the past couple of days & he has threatened to kill himself. He is a man that never cries & never showed remorse. A couple days ago when we were in the car, he kept punching himself in the head & left bruises. He doesn't eat anymore and skips class & work. Everytime we argue, he says that he is going to kill himself. He has already broke his phone out of anger & hurt himself on his forehead. I have no idea if he just wants attention or what? Help!

I am probably asking out of insecurities but you men are just so hard to read. I've been dating this guy for 10 months and he is wonderful. We moved in together in January and that seems to be going well, I have a daughter (not his) that he takes very good care of and says he loves her like she was his own. He has talked briefly about our future together and tells me often that he loves me but no real details and when I ask him about his plans or his feelings he really has nothing to say, yet whenever I talk to his friends they always bring up how he talks about me all the time and has nothing but good things to say about us. He is very romantic when we are together yet when we are apart he "forgets" to call often. I am at a crossroads, how into this relationship is he?

My 17.5 year old son showed up at my house last night... my ex-husband and i have joint-custody but he has physical placement. My son does not want to go back to him. If i send him back, he's just going to run away to somewhere else... what do i have to do to get physical placement of him? what are my options?

at his age do i even have to do anything legal-wise? is he old enough to just say that he wants to live with me?
