Here's the deal, my dad stopped talking to me just before Christmas due to his girlfriend and her two kids. I'm due to get married in August and he wouldn't return any of my calls, texts or emails - as we've just moved into our first house that needs tonnes of work, I haven't been able to make the two hour trip to confront him in person about what his/her problem is. My brother has just told me that they've split up, do I become the bigger person here and say "hi, hope you are ok?" or just leave him to come to me?

We broke up on mutual terms, about 2 months ago. we were together for 2 years. he's now with another girl.

We've spoken over msn messanger once or twice, but just casual 'how have you been' convocation.
whenever he see's me around, he just looks away.
And last night, again, over msn messanger, i asked why he acts like he hates me. and he replied 'im not acting like i hate you. i dont even think about you anymore.'

I just dont understand why, as soon as we broke up, he acted off with me all of a sudden.

The best way to explain this is to work off a rating scale. If you are a number "8" female in the looks department and a "5" or lower has a crack at you, do you feel negative emotions towards the "lower" categorized person?

Do you feel repulsed and think thoughts like "does this guy seriously think he has a chance on me" etc.

And do you also treat these people as an ego boost so that you feel more confident of going for people around your own level?

I'm 20 yrs old and i used to be a size 10 or 8 in clothes now im size 12 well squeezing into a size 12 ...i hate it!! i look like im pregnant bloated belly hanging and muffin tops!! my boyfriend showed me a picture on his phone of when i was skinner and said i looked better now!! i really wanna be the way i was before but worried my boyfriend will go off of me :( we've been together 3 years and its only this year ive started putting on weight. should i stay like this to make him happy or should i do what makes me feel happy and deal with him falling out of love with me?

In addition to my last question,I am being faitfull!!!!Have been sence the 1 time Remind you i was faithfull when the other guy came on to me. my boyfriends mate who i have met once said to my BF that he seen me kissing and talking to another man whilst out clubbing one night he described what i was wearing and he was even standing there with GF and she said it was me aswell but its not true and BF wont believe me I didnt even drink that night, i kept on thinking about it over and over again if maybe i did something that looked like i did but i never even spoke to any lads except one or two who i knew and so does my BF i tried ringing his friend up to ask him why he is saying this but i couldnt get through and my BF says that his friend and GF wouldnt lie and i really didnt do anything ever please help

I cried and tried everything I could do to keep her saying that I will change and promise and to just give me one last chance but she said the fight is out of her. She wants some time apart and I have to respect that and I will. She says that she wants time to explore and have fun and does not know if she wants a relationship right now and so we downgraded to friends. I did not realize how much I love her until now and would do anything for her in a heart beat. She says that I am a great guy that is smart, good looking, and funny. If I give her time, how much time is long enough, or should I try to get her back now but she said she does not want to use the friends and being smothered. what to do??? Should I let her call me or should I check in from time to time? Once a month, once every few months or what? I want her to be happy in life and would just wish she could give me another chance. I want to prove to her that I can change, all I want is a chance, thats all.

My family has a history of adoption...for instance, my grandparents adopted 50 kids in their lifetime...yah, 50!!! It's nuts...anyways, I had a very interesting discussion with my parents today...

I am 25, single, live in Toronto and am going back to Laos (a impovished country next to Thailand) in a few months. They had a serious discussion with me and said there are a few people who would like me to adopt their child. There are restrictions of course, but I will bypass them according to them because we have a history with the government and history with adoption.

I am not sure I am ready for a child...but I know when I go there and see the impovished kids I might change my mind...I hope it doesn't sound selfish, but by adopting a child and raising him or her, doesn't it make me almost untouchable to ladies to date now?

I am thinking this is a bad idea to adopt; but I can't ignore all the history my family has with adoption....

I was dumped by my ex 3 months ago (from a 3 year relationship), and the break up was pretty sudden, with no warning. Out of the blue he just said that he wasn't happy, doesn't know why but doesn't feel the same way about me and had no contact ever since. I was completely heart broken because I loved him so much, but now I have come to accept it because since I loved him so much, the last thing I want is for him to be unhappy so I basicly let him go and started to focus on my life. Then all of a sudden he starts contacting me, asking if he could be friends, to hang around, but I refused to as I still love him and will make me backslide with all the progress I had, told him that i don't need him in my life, and dont want anything to do with him, but he still keeps on contacting me. Im confused, he wanted out of the relationship because of his "unhappiness" and I respected that, I let him go, why is he bothering me now, is it to feed his ego, or to play with my mind?

My teenage daugher seems to find everything to complain about. From the constant pain all over that she seems to have to there not being anything in house to eat (although I always ask if she wants anything specific when I go shopping). Mostly she's in a good mood and a pleasure to be with, but when she's moody - don't give her the wrong answer to question or all hell breaks loose.

Long story. Thanks for reading in advance....

I met and married a wonderful girl in the mid 90s and had 2 wonderful kids... At the time we hung about with this couple and did lots together... Had great fun for years. But then things changed and me and the 'lady' of the couple got close and had a brief affair. This killed our marriage and we split. The affair didnt last much longer and life returned to some form of normality.

Fast forward 2 years later and the ex-wife and I get back together and she and I marry again. Then I get a text from the 'lady'. She says that she has never forgotten me and and that she would like us to be in contact again. She is adamant that 'friends' is all she wants as she missed the challange our good friendship gave her. Since I missed that too I agreed it would be ok (keeping it a secret, of course) and we have been in contact since. Problem is its not 'just friends' any more. Its affair again. So what do I do?

Hiya

Im trying to finish with my boyfriend, we argue all the time over silly things and its got me down so much i need to end it. He dictates what i wear and if i do wear something that is slightly revealing he will question me on why im wearing it ect.... - why
is he like that?

Even if i wear a nice top to work he will say "why are you dressed up for work" when im only wearing a nice top and black trousers as i work in an office!

Also had a family holiday to Oz planned for over 12 months, and he said i cant go and we have only been together 10 months.

Thing is i cant seem to end it with him. I do love him but i know ive gotta do whats right even though illl get hurt!

Why do i feel guilty?
