I'm looking for a tripod or monopod that is versatile and practical. Any suggestion is appreciated. In order of importance:

Easy to set up shots.
Stable and secure
Easy to carry.
A good height.
Not expensive.

Thanks.

I am going on a trip to Italy soon, and I want to take a lot of pictures. However, my old camera does not work well, so I need to buy a new one. These are some that I am considering:

Olympus Stylus 79 SW

Fujifilm FinePix Z10FD

Canon PowerShot Elph SD750
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8266191&type=product&id=1170290185723

Casio Exilim Z75

If you have ever had any experience with any of these cameras or have heard anything about them at all, I would appreciate it if you could let me know! Also, which do you think would be the best choice? Or is there a better camera? My preferable price range is about $300. Thanks for your time!!

I smudged mine up with some of the gunk from the decomposing foam sealant and I can't get it totally clean again. I'd like to replace it since they are easily removable and replaceable with the AE-1 Program. Thanks!

What is a better camera for just normal picture taking (with friends mainly)????

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5639902

Or

Or

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5634167

I want an honest opinion and your reasons why. I don't want a camera for professional pictures just normal pictures of my everyday life.

Don't forget, I want your honest opinion and your reason why you chose that specific camera.

I've never had a digital camera before... But in the past I've always used a old camera that was like all metal and plastic.... But now I got a digital camera (Sony cyber shot DSC-T5) anyway I use to use my old camera all the time in the rain and there was no problem, but now I'm wondering if I can still shoot in rain (I mean light rain, not like a heavy storm) so do you think it is ok to be out and about in the rain taking pictures with this camera? Or do you think if the camera gets wet it all it will be ruined?

I told my ex about 9 months ago don't buy Kodak, she did and now flash doesn't work....it's under warranty. I know this can happen to Canon, Sony or any other brand.
She need to take photos pretty soon at some sports event of grandkids. Kodak has camera now over 2 weeks and she's thinking of buying another camera. Now finally my question. Maybe I shouldn't be asking this on Yahoo Answers.
How trustworthy is Yahoo shopping. I see advertised Canon A630 for $169-..what am I missing? Tom Tom would prob have a good idea. I'm thinking of sending my ex over to Yahoo shopping. Any ideas? Do items come from reputible stores?

I was wondering what kind of extra zoom lenses can be purchased for the Fuji s700 digital camera. If I can buy extra lenses, where would I find them. I am from Canada. I will mostly use this camera at a race track 80% of the time it will be night.

I can't keep comparing camera specs. I have to make this purchase TODAY. Should I get the Nikon d40x or the Canon XTi. You don't have to elaborate a whole lot. If you can just give me a good one sentence response, I'll appreciate it. These two (entry level DSLR) models are the only ones in my price range that seem to be favored by most. If you have an alternative to these in the same price range, let me know. Just the bottom line answer would be appreciated. I'm not a pro photographer, although I do sell some of my prints.

He'd like the camera mostly for emailing photos to family and friends who live out of town. The camera really has to be very sturdy (there's a very good chance he'll drop it several times) and at or under $100 would be a plus. Thanks for any help!

I am looking to upgrade from my current digital camera - a Nikon Coolpix 4600. I want a camera that takes decent cityscapes at night and one that does better in low-light situations. A better zoom would also be nice. I would still like it to be compact and preferably under $250...a little above is ok though. I would also like one that takes video with audio, since mine doesn't.

Any suggestions?

- suggestions about how to take the perfect cityscape at night with the suggested camera would also be appreciated :)

It's a Nikon Coolpix L3, it landed on its zoom (while it was open, i was uploading some pictures) it turns on to a plain white screen and stays that way for a few seconds, then it tries to go through the motion of turning on- the zoom goes out then pulls back in some, and thats where it gets stuck, and has a screen that says "objective error". Is the zoom just off its track and needs to be reset or was something else inside the camera screwed up to make the white screen come up?

$914.00 for all that?!

I've read reviews about this seller and they all seem pretty good.
But I'm a bit skeptical.
Is this place a scam or something?

Please and thank you =)

The LCD screen on my C-5000 stopped working-not too sturdy to begin with. Any way to replace it myself. Everything else works--zoom, aperture, speed, etc., tested it with the rangefinder. But can't use the menu which is only visible thru the LCD. Since I can get a used working model for $75 or so, and replacement parts & labor would be $150, what do to? Probably not worth buying a part & trying to install it either. Set it on auto and just keep it for casual use? Buying a dslr this week anyway.
