I smudged mine up with some of the gunk from the decomposing foam sealant and I can't get it totally clean again. I'd like to replace it since they are easily removable and replaceable with the AE-1 Program. Thanks!

I should also mention I don't have a decent camera shop in town to go to, so I'm hoping to find something on the internet. I've already checked eBay so I'm hoping someone knows of a more consistent online source.

Although the AE-1 Program screens DO have the ability to interchange, replacement screens are in actuality fairly rare.

The AE-1P was a consumer oriented camera, and most of the buyers frankly could have cared less about the ability to interchange screens.

The best advice I can offer you is to watch Ebay. One will typically come up for sale about once or twice a month.

I've never seen AE-1P screens for sale anywhere outside of Ebay.

By the way, if you want the same style split/microprism screen, you'll be looking for an "E" screen.

I've bought several Canon focusing screens off of Ebay(no AE-1P screens-just F-1 and T90 screens) and can tell you that if you want to get the rarer screens, you need to stay on the ball. Search at least once a day, if not more often.

If nothing else, since you're looking for an E screen, which shipped with all the AE-1Ps from the factory anyway, it might be easier and less expensive to buy a non-working junk body off of Ebay for not much and swap the screens.

Try keh.com or bhphotovideo.com or maybe even the Canon web site.
