My parents recently bought a picture frame that is 28" by 20" and they want to take a family photo to fit the frame. My friend has a Canon 6 megapixel camera, but I'm not sure if you can get a decent picture of that size with just 6 megapixels or not...can someone help me out?

I love photography, nature and people photographs. I think I have a very good eye for beauty and love to capture it in photographs. And even though I have tried and tried, I get hung up on the technical aspects of some of the cameras and my pictures do not turn out the way I would like. Which is better for capuring images and keeping the technical part simple, 35 mm or digital SLR cameras?

I just purchased a new digital camera and a camcorder. I was wondering if there were any tips, techniques, or products that would let me view the screen easier in bright sunlight. Is there something I can put over the screen? I own the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3K, so if anyone has used this camera I would appreciate info on how viewable this screen is in sunlight. Since this is my first digital camera I would like to know what to expect. Thanks.

I've narrowed my choices down to 3 (Pentax k100d, Canon digital rebel XT, and Nikon D40), but I was wondering what the lenses ran for each of the models. Do any of them accept lenses from older non-digital SLRs? I probably wont be buying more than 2 or 3 lenses, but I still don't want to pay too much. I also would like one that has good response in low light. I'd like to do some longer exposures

I'm in the process of drawing up business plans and expenditure plans for my own Photography Business. As such I will need a comprehensive equipment list to gain some funding. I would therefore like some ideas on such equipment I do have a reasonable budget but want to keep it as low cost as is possible but obviously keeping the quality. I have had some ideas but can't make my mind up and I find conflicting advice across the internet. I would like recommendations on everything especially lenses, it just seems a bit of a minefield out there. I will have no studio in my business' infant stages and want ideas on portable studio equipment. I currently have a canon 350D which I have been using for practice and I've been reasonably happy with but I completely understand and know that the quality is just not there and want something much better and more rugged that's not going to complain about me lugging it about here, there and everywhere. Thanks guys and gals for your help. Phil

I'm buying a digital SLR soon, A Nikon D40x to be exact. and I was wondering if any Nikon lenses were good for portraits/photoshoots. I'm interested in other types of photography too, so support for other types would be nice, but I really would like a nice all around lens that make people nice and clear when shooting portraits.

Do the cameras with Printer/Camera bundles have the memory card as per normal digital cameras.?

I am asking because I might buy one for somebody. They could print themselves a picture on the provided picture, but might want to take the memory card to Boots/Asda etc for a better copy.

If the camera does not have a memory card, then I guess I will just have to buy a regular digital camera without the printer section.

It's gotten to where I don't want to change lenses for fear of dirtying the sensor. I bought a brand new Canon 30D and attached a 100-400 Canon lens and I have dust on the sensor from just doing that., I haven't changed the lens at all. Am I being too picky? I hate to have to remove dust spots every time I shoot with a small aperture or shoot something with a plain, light-colored background such as the sky.

Is it possible to rotate a digital video file taken with a digital camera 90 degrees from portrait to landscape so that it can be viewed without standing the TV on it's side.

Although I save the pics from my digital camera on an online website, a file on my desktop, and on a flash drive, I am afraid to lose my pictures as I have in the past when I had saved them on a CD-R so I end up leaving the pics on the memory card as well. Will this eventually wear out the card? Is it BETTER to erase them as you go along?

I take a lot of photos to sell things on Ebay.

When ever I try to get a close up shot, the picture blurs and I can't get the fine detail that I want to see, especially to photograph small writing on items.

I'm sure my older, cheaper camera doesn't help. It's an Olympus Camedia D-395 that I bought maybe 4 years ago.

Do I just need to get a better camera or is there something else I can do to work with the one I already have?

OK. Thinking Digital Photography was the way forward for me I purchased. an expensive camera.
Everything was going fine until I decided it would be nice to put my darling Tuffy's (my dog) image on a mug or T. shirt. Aagh!!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't do it. I want to know how I can do it myself, and save lots of money.
Remember, Christmas is 8 weeks away and I know all my friends and family would love a MUG OR T.SHIRT WITH TUFFY ON IT.!!!!!!
Cheers to all,

I've wanted a great camera for a very long time and my parents said they would buy me one for Christmas. We have no idea what kind of camera to buy. I just want a small, sleek camera that is either blue, pink, or silver. I would prefer buying it at Best Buy. It would be great if you can make videos with it too. Thanks in advance.
