I would like to take photos of small objects, so I would also like recommendations on good supplementary lenses. I would like to buy a digital camera to use it with these close-up lenses and use the digital camera also for 'normal' photos. Thanks,

I have a digital camera. It is a sakar 3.1 megapixel. I got it at walmart for about 40 bucks. It had a flash. When you turn the flash on, a little symbol appears in the corner of the screen that kind of looks like a lightening bolt. The flash worked fine for about 8 days. Then, the little symbol wouldnt even come on. screen. It worked fine for the first 8 or so days. Then, one day i tried to turn the flash on, and the little symbol wouldnt even come on. I might have accidentally pushed a wrong button and made it not work. ???? How do i fix it? The little flash symbol wont even come on???? Any advice will be appreciated!

OK! I want a good-quality camera. My dad found an awesome deal for the Pentax K100D Super. Before I was going to go with the Canon Powershot S5. But since the K100D is a DSLR, I understand that the quality will be better.

1. The S5 has 8 megapixels. If I want to crop an image, I will get higher quality than with a 6-Megapixel. (K100D)

2. The S5 has a turnable screen. I'm VERY used to being able to see what I'm shooting whether it's above me or below me. It's just a comfy feature. Then again, the K100D has only a viewfinder to see what you're shooting. So I have to guess at what I'm shooting to get a nice picture.

3. The K100D has better quality. Less chromatic aberration, a larger sensor. The S5 has the sensor of the 6-MP Canon S3, which cramps more pixels into a same-size sensor.

4. I don't plan on switching lenses. I want to know if the Kit Lens is any good for Macro and landscape photography. If it's capable of super macro, then I'll be even happier.

All I want to know!

What is the best camera setting to take pictures at a concert? As far as ISO, action setting, flash? Most concerts have flashing lights and smoke effects, I know you can't remove the smoke effects but what are the best settings to get clearer pictures in that enviroment?

or do i just follow common sense and not set it up where people are walking? and are you ever afraid of knocking it over on accident. seems quite frightening having an expensive camera on 3 skinny legs.

I want to buy a gift for my girlfriend. She loves taking pictures with her digital camera but it doesn't capture enough. I think she'd love to do paneramic shots, tight shots, landscapes as well as people - close to professional quality. Any brands work best? Features I should look for? Money isn't an issue. Thanks!

I have a Nikon D50. So far the only lens I have is the one that came with it. I have an opportunity to get an inexpensive lens (Vivitar 75-205MM 1:3.5-4.5 MC Macro Focusing Zoom Number 37402977 55MM) and was wondering if anyone knew if they were compatible?

I own a Kodak EasyShare CX7430, and I use to for simple photography, and I've been noticing that the pictures are crystal clear. Is is the camera, or are there better models I could use for my photography? I've been getting more serious about the photograpy stuff, so I'd like a nicer camera to make the pictures look much better.

really unless people do poster prints why would they want more than 5-6 megapix?

i find it amazing how people think a 10mp will give better images than a 5mp - really a poor photographer shooting on 10mp just produces double the crap of a poor shooter on a 5mp

are people really so easily fooled?

i see people here answer get as many megapix as possible, but ignore such things as lens quality and user ability

these people are marketers dreams!!

what do you think?? do people do lots of poster prints to justify more megapix?

I keep on seeing people say not to bother with cameras under about 7 megapixels. But for someone who wants to take pictures of her kids, but doesn't have much money...isn't even a 1 mp digital camera better than those disposable cameras? Would the pictures be clearer or not?

I want a camera that I can snap pictures with, and then upload to an online photo printing service. I can store my pictures there and order very inexpensive prints.

I know that if possible, more megapixels is best. And of course I want clear images of my children that I can look back at and smile. But please compare the quality of a 1, 2, or 3 megapixel camera with the disposable cameras I'm already using. Thanks.
