Best Camera or features?

I want to buy a gift for my girlfriend. She loves taking pictures with her digital camera but it doesn't capture enough. I think she'd love to do paneramic shots, tight shots, landscapes as well as people - close to professional quality. Any brands work best? Features I should look for? Money isn't an issue. Thanks!
