I HATE my digital camera because sometimes it will not take the picture when I push the button because of movement. I have missed several great shots due to this! When it does take an action shot it is blurry. I saw one advertised on TV that has the feature I want, but can't remember the name!

Need LED, zoom, decent memory (or will take larger card). Easy to load to PC/MAC. An included basic editing program would be nice. About $100? Thanks!

In your opinion, what digital camera/lens combination gives the best image quality?

(I'm talking about image quality alone. Not flexibility, response, ergonomics, speed, or price)

Disregard if it has no autofocus and if it is very big and heavy.

What digital camera/lens combination offers the best color reproduction, sharpest image detail, lowest noise, least vignetting, and least chromatic abberation?

I do not see a lens release button! How in the world do you take it off to change it? Can you even change it?

I was cleaning my camera with a Q-tip, some alcohol, and water, and then I dropped it. I had dropped my camera more than enough times and so, I thought it would just turn on.
Well, when I went to turn it on..nothing happened.
My cameras batteries were really low, but usually when my batteries are low, the camera will at least turn on and then off again.

Still, when I put the crappy batteries in, the cameras screen has a very subtle little greyish line, like it wants to turn on, but then it will turn back off.

I really doubt it is the batteries though, because itried to charge them and it still wouldnt turn on.
any advice? Help? I really am at a loss since the camera looks perfectly fine on the outside.

I have three 6.0 megapixel cameras. I kept trying to get one that would work well, but they really aren't doing the job for me. I like to take pictures at concerts and they often come out too dark (the flash won't reach the stage), blurry, or don't zoom in well enough. I think it's time to splurge on a nice camera that will meet my needs, but I have no idea what to get. I need something that's good for beginners, but will also be good as I get more advanced. Needs to be under $500, preferrably under $400.
Any suggestions from experienced photographers?
Thanks!!

I want to get a DSLR, but they're so dang expensive when you include the lenses... Meanwhile, I probably should just get a digital "point-and-shoot" camera until I can better afford something from the SLR world.

There are a few creative controls which I need to have a wide range of (manual) control over as well as automatic settings. In order of importance these controls are: aperture, focus, shutter speed, exposure, and manual zoom. More than anything, I really want the best possible macro capabilities available. And minimal shutter lag. It's kind of a pet peeve of mine. ;)

Could you please point me in the right direction? I'm kind of leaning toward the Nikon Coolpix S10 or something like the Canon PowerShot S2 IS (I really like the swivel screens). Compact is awesome, but full body is okay too.

Thanks for your help. :D

I'd like a body glove that can protect against drops and something possibly that can guard the digital display to prevent cracks.

I need a digital camera in the prosumer to professional range, preferably under $600 (not including additional lenses, filters, or other extras), although the price is not the greatest issue. The main purpose of my camera will be for nature photography as an art form. I will be photographing everything from far-off mountains to subjects as small as a fruit fly.

The most important feature is how much control I have over the image. There are a few "creative controls" that require a wide range and manual control. Additional automatic point-and-shoot settings would be good as well, but manual control is a must. In order of importance these controls are:
Aperture
Focus
Shutter speed
Exposure

The OVF (optical viewfinder) should be good, and a camera with live-preview would be great. One with a swivel-screen LCD would be awesome.

I haven't dropped it or anything, it was just in my pocket.
And when i took it out i tried to turn it on, the lens comes out slightly, then closes, then opens again, then closes and then turns off?
The battery is fully charged, it's as though the lens is trying to eject but somethings stopping it.
Any ideas?
Please help as it was expensive, i'd take it back to the store where i bought it, but it was bought in America and i live in England!
Thanks :)

I bought a Digital Concepts 5.1 MP camera a few weeks ago, and the thing absolutely _cannot_ handle even moderately low-light conditions. If it's not a bright, sunny, ten-billion candle-power light, the thing only records blackness & maybe some of the dots of light where light is reflecting extra brightly off of things. I can't get anything better out of it. I can't find any information about this. Is this just a defective camera or is the design, itself, just crappy? I''m really hoping there's just a setting somewhere that I'm missing, but I'm doubting that to be the case. :-\
