Have you replaced the battery? If so and it still doesn't work, contact Garry's Camera Repair at garryscamera@ yahoo.com and ask for an estimate. He repaired the light meter in my Minolta SRT-202 and it was $53.00 total - $45 for repair, $8 for shipping.

If it's not the battery (also clean your battery contacts in the camera body with a pencil eraser), then the camera may need to be repaired.

Frankly, the body itself isn't work more than $50, so I'd suggest looking for another screw mount body for the lenses, if you have any. Pentax, Mamiya/Sekor, Vivitar, Sears, Cosina, and others of that era all used the screw mount lenses pioneered by Pentax. Check your local Craigslist, as these show up periodically for very low prices.

Here are some examples I found on Ebay. As you an see, a Mamiya/Sekor, even with lenses, costs under $20.

Another possibility is to get an inexpensive handheld light meter and learn to get your meter readings off of that.

Finally, you might just consider getting a completely different camera that accepts current lens. For film, I'd recommend any of the Nikon N series or the FM-10.

I hope this is helpful.
