how to upload pictures from a new camera onto a windows 98 computer?

help?
i hate having to wait to upload my pictures!!!!

you need at a minimum windows 98SE to be USB capable. 98SE does not automatically recognize a camera as a storage device, you will need a program/driver from the camera maker or get a card reader, which will come with softerware. make sure it is rated for 98SE operating system.

Get a USB 2.0 memory card reader and plug it in the USB port.

Take the memory card out from the camera, plug it into the card reader. Windows will see the card as another hard drive and you can just copy the whole card onto your computer's hard drive; just copy and paste the whole directory.
