My brother insists that the digital camera's batteries die faster when shooting a TV screen or PC screen due to it emitting more radiation or ultraviolet or something, he really can't explain the exact reason but he is stalling on his position.
Is he right or wrong?

Please let me know if I it is possible to buy one under 500$ and still be good and durable. ThankYou.

My Nikon D50 will corrupt images on my memory card (2GB Sandisk Ultra II). I haven't found steps I can take to specifically reproduce the problem, however through research I've learned this can happen when I delete images from my memory card using my camera.

Why I should avoid that doesn't make sense to me. I delete files all the time on my computer, and nothing happens. Why can't I delete images on my digital camera?

I'd like to get some better photos of my horses, who seem to be constantly in motion. The 2 digital cameras I have seem to have quite a delay on them and by the time the picture is taken they have moved again. Also, the movement photos are often blury, even when set on the action setting. I don't want to spend a fortune. I'm not a professional and my extra funds go to the horses.

ALSO, why the heck do the suckers eat through batteries so fast? Honestly, if I want to use the camera for 20 minutes I need to replace the batteries in the begining and the end. Why? And the alkalai batteries last NO longer than the regular ones.

Thanks much in advance!

If they were all the same price, which one would be the BEST overall. I'm trying to decide between the three and can't seem to make up my mind. Please help!

I've got a Canon D400 and would love to try and take photos at night. i.e. stars. I've had a look at Flickr and the type of shots I'm after require an exposure time of around 120 seconds, but the maximum exposure time I can get on the Canon is 30 seconds.

Can I achieve these settings or are they unobtainable?

I know that my camera (a Canon Powershop Pro 1) has the ability to do it, because my friend has the same one and she's done it before (actually with the camera, not just with photoshop or something), but does anyone know how to make a camera pick up only one color like this:
http://photos-b.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sctm/v118/75/1/176700943/n176700943_30137989_3496.jpg

The camera will be for personal use only, but I would still like it to:
-Take good sharp pictures (good focus, not blurry)
-Have a good flash and take bright pictures for the night and indoor pictures
-Be durable, since I use it often and take thousands of pictures.
-Has a good battery life and uses a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery(regular batteries don't last long since I'll be taking tons of pictures, and it gets too expensive)
-Be able to take video clips

Thanks for any suggestions or comments on the cameras!

I am trying to have my vacation pictures developed and for whatever reason the pictures came out with incredibly low resolution and the photo websites are only allowing me to have pictures developed in wallet size. Both cameras are 8 megapixels so is there any way to fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
