OK. Thinking Digital Photography was the way forward for me I purchased. an expensive camera.
Everything was going fine until I decided it would be nice to put my darling Tuffy's (my dog) image on a mug or T. shirt. Aagh!!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't do it. I want to know how I can do it myself, and save lots of money.
Remember, Christmas is 8 weeks away and I know all my friends and family would love a MUG OR T.SHIRT WITH TUFFY ON IT.!!!!!!
Cheers to all,

go to Staples or AC Moore, or some other craft store... they have iron on transfer paper, where you can print the photo, at home on your printer, then iron it on a tee shirt... as for the mug... AC Moore has plastic mugs which pull apart and you slip a printed photo into the clear plastic covering, then put back together... as for a ceramic mug, you can order one online from a company like snapfish or shutterfly

It doesn't many what quality digital camera you have, thought yours probably makes really great pictures. What you need is an inkjet printer and here are some instructions for the mug http://www.mcgpaper.com/howtomakdecf.html
For the photo you need a special iron-on transfer paper for your printer. You can get that at office supply stores like Staples and Office Max.

Have fun doing it!

There are plenty of places that you can do this online for the mug and the T-shirt; if you want to do the T-shirt yourself, that can be done. A mug is probably not something you can do yourself.

A basic photo mug costs $12.99. Look here for example:

Now, to do your own T-shirt, you need an inkjet printer and iron-on transfer paper. Here's one example of such paper, 10 sheets to a pack:
http://www.amazon.com/Epson-S041153-Iron-Transfer-Paper/dp/B00004TS2H
It's $14.93, so that's about 1.49 per T-shirt.

Of course, you'd need to supply your own printer, iron and T-shirt. Having it done by a service is about $14.99 per shirt, but they supply the T-shirt.

For a shirt, you need a transfer. You can buy a printable transfer paper at a craft store. Hopefully while you are there, someone can assist with transfers onto ceramic. Or you might just want to google it.

I have used the iron-on type transfers with good results. Just remember you have to reverse the image before printing it in on the transfer.
