I've wanted a great camera for a very long time and my parents said they would buy me one for Christmas. We have no idea what kind of camera to buy. I just want a small, sleek camera that is either blue, pink, or silver. I would prefer buying it at Best Buy. It would be great if you can make videos with it too. Thanks in advance.

Sony Cybershots are good. about $250. Don't worry about mega pixels that much they only determine how large you will be able to print pictures. A 6 mega pixel camera is good enough to do an 8 x 10 or bigger.
Don't get a Fuji. They suck. Cannon is good as well as well as Olympus. These two just cost a little more.
I personally own a Sony Cybershot.

I was looking for an olympus digital but found what I wanted 10x zoom and 7mp or higher was out of my price range. I got exactly what I wanted with Kodak and at a very good price $288 australian dollars and it's just lovely, I did pay an extra $50 for a 1gig memory card otherwise it only takes about 10 photos, thats worth asking about too with any camera you buy. There were other kodak ones that were of a lesser megapixel quality and zoom that were cheaper it just depends how much you want to spend.
we dont have best buy here i dont think but kodak is a worldwide name I'd say you could get those anywhere.

There's only two cameras in that price range I'd want $120 get the Fujifilm Finepix F10 for it's low light performance and awesome battery life $210 get the Pentax Optio W10 because it's waterproof and has a cool time lapse mode. Out of those two, I'd prefer the cheaper one.

My blue Canon A400 is just what you'd like.
It does audio and video with sound. 3.1 Megapixel is perfect for emailing photos, etc. Lots of easy to use auto features. The best optics for the money-3X optical zoom. Uses rechargeable NiMh batteries-cheap and long-lasting. Also the Sd memory is very affordable.
Comes in silver, I dont know about pink.

There's a lot of good cameras in that wide price range. So it will depend upon how small you want it and in what color. Some standout products from Canon include:
Canon A570 IS, which has image stabilization and is about $175.00 (check http://www.pricegrabber.com for latest pricing)
Canon SD1000 (nice small camera, about $180)

Anything with Olympus on it is guaranteed to be high quality. I bought a super good one on eBay for $150 that produces a higher quality image than anyone ever would need...honestly.

you get what you pay for. If you buy a camera for 100bucks... You will get a camera that is worth $100.00
Your best bet for getting something at a good price is try craigslist or ebay.

Look into Canon's Powershot line. They are affordable, great cameras.

i love my sony cyber shot and it come in blue, pink, and silver. Best buy is a good place... just Do Not buy from staples i had so many problems with them.
