Security - November 2007

I have this thing called funny Ust scandal.avi and it makes me soooooo mad! It always does weirdd things with Yahoo! messenger! How do i get rid of it? What virus protection will kill it?

My computer is infected with viruses. It changes my background desktop, changes my homepage, pops up popups, downloads programs without me knowing. I use Norton Anti-Virus to try to fix this problem, but however, it does not change a bit. I think this happened because yesterday I was downloading this program to watch videos on the internet, I believe it was Active X or something. Can anyone help me remove these viruses and restore my computer from viruses?

I had some spyware accidentally downloaded on my computer and i remember my cousin had reset the computer before at an earlier time and it worked getting it off. so i wanted to know how to do it!!

I have finished my Cisco CCNA and want to get into the security side of things with a view to being a security consultant.. which do you think would be best to do next - CompTIA Security + or the Cisco CCSP???

I have some viruses on my desktop and currently they are quarenteened. I have adaware-se and run it frequently as well have deleted cookies and temporary internet files. Is there any other way to remove those viruses without taking it to a shop to be done?

i really want to block this website from my sister who goes on the internet and waste time playing on it. does anybody now how to block the site or how to log of her internet. is there something i can do without installing anything if there isnt tell me something that is free which i can install to block one site. this site is safe but its making her stay with the computer for ages and i dont like it. shes not giving others time to go on the computer at all.

PROBLEM: everytime i go to log into my yahoo email account it goes to a "page not found" page and i have no idea why. It works fine on my laptop (im using now). my older brother told me it might be my firewall settings but my home comp. is at a diff. house so its hard to explain. but also i downloaded limewire and i go to search for a song and it says theres a connection error when there really isnt. I am using a road runner cable for internet. I get about 100. Mbps. Is it my firewall or something else? thanks

p.s. it does this for every site i log into except for myspace.

OK, it all started when I tried to improve my Zone Alarm. Later on, when I went to youtube I tryed to watch "yourmathhelpteacher" vids but then, there's note posted up saying, "Hello, either your javascript is turned off or you need to install Flash player". I've tried watching other videos but, all of them have the same notification. So, I logged on to Yahoo! Answers I did every advice on other people's blogs but, STILL no Java. What should I do??? I've tried changing it from control panel. I've tried removing it. EVERTHING in customs levels is enabled. THEN, when I went to the Java website it said that "Javascript and Cookies must be enabled so we can message you correctly. Please enable javascript and cookies in your browser for the duration of your Java Installation and verification! Once you have enabled javascript and cookies, please refresh this page!" Now, I can't load the current version of Javascript and now, watch vids in youtube, surf properly, do interactive programs!!! Help!!!

last night, and nobody out there say it cannot be done because your wrong!!! i p****d off a top contributor last week whom i know has 3 yahoo names on questions and answers 6 email addresses, and hacked my home pc and password and to think he was smart presented me with 2,467 malware trojans and adaware on my home pc all he managed to do was set the alarm bells ringing iwork for a security company whom i cannot name this man is being scrutinised by my company and will be dealt with accordingly whom will be in contact with yahoo questions and answers,questions and answers in my mind is an excellent program for problem solving for all including myself when at home. as to the hacker try mothercare next time my company has taken this as minor glich but totaly unexceptable

I deleted all the temporary internet files in my computer, to recover some disc space.
Then, I deleted the cookies too, and found that I couldn't access the websites that I went to before.
So I restored the cookies and I could access them again.
Is this what happens?
Or did I delete the cookies the wrong way?
Or is there something wrong with my internet connection?
Help!
