Security - November 2007

Please help, i have a windows xp compaq, and it goes to the blue login screen. When i log in, it only shows that domains desktop background and the mouse, you cant even log out or anything. I think we may have gotten the virus from a frostwire download. Please help. If you can find a site that talks about the virus, or you know how to fix the virus, please tell me. thankyou

We signed up for a site having to do with my husbands military benefits. Windows asked if I wanted the password remembered and I checked yes. Since then we have changed the password. How do I go into Windows to get rid of the old passsword?

I kind've know that some of the files of folder lock get installed to system32 folder in windows but i dunno what to do with them or what their names are. I'd be happy to get the software out of the comp too if i don't get the password...but so far nothing seems to be terminating the locking. Its still got most of my files and is refusing to be deleted :((

I recently had to format my computer and i emailed an rar that i archived and set a password for it has some personal info in it and i forgot what the password was i know it was like 15 characters long and all numbers i already bought a rar password revovery program but the bruteforce attack for a password that long would take like 1100 years or some rediculous amount of time like that so if there is a way to bypass the pasword i used winRAR to archive it in case you need to know it would be very much appreciated

I am a complete and utterly useless person on the computer. Somehow I got a 'log trace' on my computer and I keep trying to delete it off my computer but to no avail.

So I did a little research and there is a way to resolve my problem. The answer is listed below:

YEP I KILLED IT!!!
I downloaded tracelo_-setup.exe
Used the command: tracelog -x at the command line.
And finally deleted the trace.log
Rebooted to check if it wasn't restored and I haven't seen it anymore.

MY QUESTION: Where do I find this 'command line'? Where do I type the listed information above to resolve my problem?

Seems that Virus & Spyware programs can find the viruses,programs, etc, but if they are running or in memory, even though the programs tell you where the culprit is, you can't delete them as you get warning messages that program is in use. Is there any program that can find them, reboot the machine and then get rid of them before WIndows boots up again.

Please help! I made a new account to become the computer administrator, but the account my family had on the same computer (they also were computer administrators before me) got deleted!!! Everyone - my siblings and I - had our essays on the account that got deleted. I don't know how it got deleted, because I would not delete that account (and nobody else knows my password). I just want a router for security reasons only.I have only one computer and it has Vista.I have AT&T Yahoo!
