Oddly enough I encountered this problem a while back and it seemed that no matter what I did I just could not remove it.
Then (out of sheer desperation) I down loaded Microsoft’s defender (it is totally free) and ran that.
At first it never worked but then I disenabled the automatic restore (on my pc) and ran it again. This time it looks as though I was successful as I no longer get that horrid warning box appearing on my pc.
I have now re-activated my system restore, defragged my hard drive and still use defender.

Have you updated your Norton Anti-Virus lately? If not, you may want to do that and then run your anti-virus again. If that doesn't do it, then maybe contacted Norton and see what they suggest you do to get rid of it. About the best that I can think of.

u need to disable system restore + safe mode to get rid of it
windows key + break.. tick system restore off...
reboot.. tap f8 u get a menu.. safe mode
then scan with norton... IN SAFE MODE
it won't remove as its hidden within your system restore files, which unless u disable, you can't get access to..
read this also. for more info.. you need to use reg edit to get rid of some of the cr** it's left behind in your registry.
