Can someone tell me how to defragment?

On Windows 2000 or XP, you right click on the My Computer icon (on desktop) and hit the Manage option. You will see disk defragmenter in there. Thats the easy way to get to it. The correct and long way to get to it is, Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Managment. Its the same program.


On Win98, I think its under Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools.

Click Control Panel, then click rearrange items on your harddisk to make programs run faster, then select the hard drive or partition you want to defragment then click defragment.

here is a good defrag app for free i use it instead of windows ...u can optimize system as well as defrag ...give it a try very easy to use

Go to the menu and go to
All Programs and go to
Accessories and go to
System tools--scroll down to fragment.

-------"System Tools"-------"Disk defragmenter"

click start, control panel, preformce and maint. you should find it. if not get help.
