I have Rogers high speed which has Self Healing Software and I purchased Norton anti virus software separately and installed and both open at start up. Is this what had excessively slowed down my computer??? Please help..

I have downloaded a zip folder, then I found out that a password was needed to use the contents of the folder. Not wanting to bother getting the password, I decided that I was going to delete it. So, when I tried to delete it, it said that it was being use by another person or program. I have tried closing everything, yet it still says the same thing. Is there a way to delete it/

Start>Copmuter>Hard Disk Drives>Access Denied(C:)
Those are the steps I do.Recently I changed some security settings and now no one has access to the C hard drive which is where everything located,So I need help!Yes this what I do to try to change the security settings.
I right click the C drive>Properties>Security>I click continue on there and it says "Can't open access control editor.Access is Denied.

So please someone help! Everything is on that hard drive! HELP!

My bank recently stopped an un-authorized purchase using my credit card and because they (meaning the bank and authorities) can't really do much about it, I'm doing alittle investigating myself. So far, I've come up with a little bit of information on the 'perps' so if any of this rings a bell, let me know, i'd really appreciate it. Stealing someone's ID is just about the most slimy thing you can do, I mean, get your own life, and leave mine be!

wmplayer.exe - Bad Image
The application or DLL C:\PROGRA~1\Google\GOOGLE~2\GOEC62~1.DLL is not a valid Windows Image. Please check against your installation diskette. ....... I have tried uninstalling Windows Media Player 11 to rollback to the previous version. The same thing happened. I think it started when I downloaded a few skins from the Microsoft Downloads site.I have removed the skins, did online scans, search for GOEC62~1.DLL with Google Desktop Search and the source seems to be in my My Documents, 'Reports' Folder which consists of read-only documents... I have also tried system restore, didn't help either. ... Is it a virus, spyware, malware or whatever? How to overcome this?

Nearly 5 times my computer was blocked by a Spyware site stating that my computer was watched and somebody trying to steal data from my computer. The advertisement through Internet Explorer often interrupted. Therefore, I did find no other way except reinstalling the computer. May I reinstall my computer often? Will it cause any trouble?

Before adding Norton stuff, I could scan and remove tracking cookies. Now I do not see that as an option.

Hey, I just randomly searched the web for,"RuneScape 3 Beta" and found this site: www.dharok.com . Yes, I know that it is a total fake but if you use the username lalala and the password 12345623, you can log in and then it will say something about: You must download this file to play the runescape 3 beta". This is the file: http://dharok.com/RuneScape%203%20BETA.exe . Can someone download it and tell me what it really is? Is it virus carrying? I know its fake but I just wanna see what it looks like.

Ok , I have been using Comodo Firewall, but it slows my computer down and is aggravating..I am wondering is there another GOOD firewall out there that doesn't make you click "allow" or "deny" about EVERYTHING?? And it takes so long to load my Internet home page now...Thanks Y'all!!

Set the machine to boot from the CD/ROM. after you boot up from the operating system CD and follow the first initial steps it will allow you to "format" the hard drive (this is what you meant by memory I assume). Formatting erases all the current data on the hard drive and makes it blank. Will this delete any problems i had with virises spyware addware trogens and malware?

I was just online and an alert box popped up that said "your computer is running slower than normal, it may be infected with viruses, spyware, or adware. My Norton Internet/Anti-virus subscription ends in under 3wks. Norton came as a package when I bought my computer 2yrs ago. I hear all the advantages of the free AVG security so what's your experience? I'm sick of Norton but, if I download AVG, surely I can't do this while I've still got Norton? If I wait till my Norton has expired and then download AVG, I'm scared I won't be protected immediately. Help!!!
