I've never had a problem with it and never been "locked out". I find online banking very convenient. I can pay bills, make online purchases, transfer money into my kids' savings accounts, check I have enough money before I leave home and transfer some if i don't, set up regular credit card payments so I never pay interest for missing one....
Maybe you need to change your password and run some Spyware scanners on your computer, in case someone has your password. If the scanners find anything, fix it (the scanner should tell you what to do) and change your password again.
Change your other passwords too, not just banking.

You don't say why you keep getting locked out. It could be something to do with your internet security settings or your Windows firewall.
I find online banking much easier than traipsing to the bank and standing in a queue.

I find online banking a terrific concept. I rarely get locked out, but if I do, I go to some other websites (seems to "reset" my system) and then in a few minutes come back and it's fine. I would hate to have to go back to the old way of paying bills.

I do mostly telephone banking now, your bank probably gives you this option as well if they do online banking. It seems to be the best of both worlds, you get to speak to a real person without having to stand in a queue.

After a couple of problems i closed my account completely and have been inundated with rubbish from my ex bank ! I want and have now got a human being as an account manager and he will speak to me - wow is this the future of banking ? (it's how it used to be before the accountants got onto the boards)

Nope, I love online banking. I never really have a problem though. Maybe you need to change banks or it could be your computer or internet connection thats causing the problem.

Nope. It's the best thing ever to happen to banking in a long time. I hardly ever need to go into a branch now, and that means no more queueing up for hours on end! Hurrah!

No, I have to say I've found Internet banking as convenient as online shopping. I have both my current account and credit card account (with different banks) as an online service and it's been a real boon.
Of course (daft me!) I once forget my password to login to my credit card account but I just phoned customer services and we soon sorted it all out ... Doh!!!
