Listen pal, it may sound difficult. Even though if u remove those things using an Anti-Spyware, it doesnt go fully. It would have kept its tracks all over your system registry and files, those tracks would surely make things easy for them to bug you again and again even you remove it fully. Better take back up of your important files and go for a complete format. Thats the only way to avoid and escape from its track in the future. Install an Anti-Spyware..
Prevention is always the best as per Virus problems.
Don't open any files or attachments from any unknown email sender. Especially dont go to any sites that could harm your computer and its privacy. Install McAfee SiteAdvisor, while on searching or visiting a site, it will identify the sites with such threats, thus you can avoid entering into such sites.
Dont keep it for too long, it may end up in Data Crash. Act Quick...
