Spybot is a decent program, and reliable, but I have used it before, with full updates, and has missed some spyware when I have used it. Anyone in the IT know, will advise you to use Ad-Aware. It is a more developed and picks up spyware much better than that of Spybot. I mostly use spybot to clear out my Cookie Cache, and then use Ad-Aware to do a scan of my cache and temp files and suss out any spyware.

It depends on where your priorities are. If you just want a cookie cleaner, so to speak, than Spybot would be perfect. However, for a more streamlined solution, and better presentation, Ad-Aware would suit you really well perhaps. The downside to using Ad-aware is that it does use considerably more system resources than Spybot, so if you have an older computer, Spybot might be a good alternative.

spybot& destroy is a good spyware program, always clear out any spyware left on the program, run the program at least once a day, and make sure you get the New Updates regularly, so as to protect your pc.
