Please help! I made a new account to become the computer administrator, but the account my family had on the same computer (they also were computer administrators before me) got deleted!!! Everyone - my siblings and I - had our essays on the account that got deleted. I don't know how it got deleted, because I would not delete that account (and nobody else knows my password). Could you please tell me any way to get all the info on the deleted account back? The account I have is now the only one, and it has nothing - no essays or anything! PLEASE HELP!!!

Thank you everyone for your answers. I found all my files in C: drive. Also, thanks for all the website addresses. I am new to this and don't know if I can award everyone points - although I would like to! But I will definitely give you all a thumbs up if that means anything!

try recovery tools, you can search it at download.com however, there is a complication, if you have set the files in the deleted account as private, the files would be encrypted, and even if you recover it using undelete, etc, you can never access it anymore.im sorry...

My computer
see if your old account is still visible under Documents and Setting. You could be lucky.
Otherwise, if they are really that important, stop using the computer because it may be using the disk space that was once occupied by you docs.
Take the hard drive out and give it to someone who knows how to recover deleted information. Give them the names of the docs that you are really looking for.

If Windows is installed in C:\

Open My Computer, then double click C:\, then open a folder named "Documents and Settings".

You will see the account folders of all accounts. Goodluck in finding your "deleted account" there.
