System Restore will let you go back in time and it will restore some factory settings, BUT...

System Restore was never intended to be used for malware removal of any kind. It must always be used with caution and the restore point (date) must be chosen very carefully.

The chances are good that you will end up RESTORING some malware that you had previously removed.

Sure, System Restore MIGHT be able to remove some recent spyware, but at the same time it is likely to re-infect your computer with some older spyware or virus that you had already removed.

Remember, System Restore will restore the bad as well as the good.

Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore.

Download Windows Defender from www.microsoft.com to clean your system of spyware.

FYI, system restore will NOT always delete malware. It makes itself home in many places. A computer in my office got infected with one of them, the tech support guy in our home office couldn't get it out even doing a system restore because doing that caused a fatal crash from which it wouldn't reboot. We had to ship the PC bacck to the office to get cleaned out. You may have to take it to Geek Squad or somebody like that to make sure it is totally off your system.

You simply reset the clock (double click on the time on the lower right of the screen in windows)
You can also go to the command line (Start /Accessories/ Command Line)
And put in (the words with the date or time after as shown)
date 12/12/2006
time 01:00
exit

crappy. A complete waste of time. Please think
about cleaning it out. There are FREE programs
