I have some viruses on my desktop and currently they are quarenteened. I have adaware-se and run it frequently as well have deleted cookies and temporary internet files. Is there any other way to remove those viruses without taking it to a shop to be done?

If you have infected files that were quarantined then you have nothing to worrry about from them. They are safely contained and can do no further harm, you can safely ignore them.

If you want to have them off of your computer for good, look for the quarantine folder on your machine and manually delete them. Hold down the Shift key as you delete them so that they are deleted directly, not moved to the Recycle Bin. Read the docs or Help files for your AV program to locate the quarantine folder.

If your software has quarantined the malware then you are protected from it... quarantining a file moves it to a "safe" location on the harddrive where it cannot do any harm.

You should simply remove it which most programs allow you to do within the program's preferences...

Good Luck

I think what Dave meant to say was reformat your computer.

Anyway, you can always just clear the quarenteen. Then they're off the computer for good.
