privacy, hands down

the internet today is nothing more than a tool for companies to collect more and more information about you, and use it to bombard you with more and more junk, and the more the internet develops its more personalized junk, i dont know about you but its a bit scary when i visit a website and wham a bunch of "hot girls to date from (enter a city name near you) are waiting for you" in a banner to the side apears. and the spam
oh god the spam

put your email just ONCE in the wrong website
and you will never see the end of it, from offering enlargement of secret body parts to obtaining the latest libido enhancers. i ve seen mail boxes that recieve somewhere around 100 scam emails a day, i never thought ppl win the lottery 500 times a month and you have to send your bank details to recieve the prize? interesting....

so yeah... this is why i value privacy over security..... when your surfing does not trigger a zillion cyber sensors that record your activities there should be no reason you will ever have to worry about securing your computer. if they know your ip... or your email or websites you frequent, if they want, they WILL get inside no matter what antivirus youre using or what firewall is protecting you...

What are you going to secure?

Privacy is a goal of security while security is the mean for privacy.

if you had to choose one, it would be security. Privacy can leak anywhere that you have no control over. With security at least you feel at ease or sense of that you are being protected.
