I need to know where in my regedit to find these problems to manually remove them. PLEASE HELP!

I believe they came from some game sites my son looked up codes on to his video games.

Microsoft Windows Defender tells me I have adware/spyware information in what they say may be "read only files". They suggested I try to delete that information by going into the file. The location is doc& settings\all users\application data. BUT when I go to that area, there is no folder entitled "application data". What should I do now??????

A lot of people have said that having 2 firewalls in use provides better protection. Also, I've scanned my puter for viruses (with nothing found), I've scanned for adware/spyware (nothing found), done a defrag, emptied temporary internet files, and cleard the cache yet my puter is still a little slow. Any suggestions?

I`ve paid for 2 year license. When I try to download it won`t accept my license Number. AVG won`t answer my email. I even want to cancel the transaction but they again they won`t answer. I feel ¬ve flushed a lot of money down the pan. Possibly someone knows how to contact them and get a reply?

Is there a free Anti Virus out there? I have used Norton as I had a year with my new PC, this has since ran out - I have been advised that there are free anti virus downloads out there that are just as good???

Theres this little icon (red circle with a white X) in the lower right corner of my computer...when i put my cursor over it, it says "Your computer is infected" and if you click it, it downloads a random virus protector...but it always pops up this notice and it's really annoying:

it doesnt sound like a virus, but windows usually makes sure you want the program, and doesnt constantly download new programs and warn you non-stop(like every 20 seconds)

if its not a virus, can anyone tell me how to turn it off so it will stop warning me every 5 seconds and downloading random crap without asking me?

when i start up my computer everyday AVG runes a complete scan which takes about a hour, i find it slows other programs down a bit, i want to disable the full scan and run it manually, it updates itself when i start the computer but that's fine, i just want to scan manually, thanks

I'm trying to deactivate symantec AV but it won't let me, when i try to unload service it tells me that i have to wait til all scans are finished. The scans that are still going are ones that have screwed up and stopped responding (one's been going since december) and i can't figure out how to stop them.
