Theres this little icon (red circle with a white X) in the lower right corner of my computer...when i put my cursor over it, it says "Your computer is infected" and if you click it, it downloads a random virus protector...but it always pops up this notice and it's really annoying:

Windows has detected spywar infection!
It is recommended to use special antispyware tools to prevent data loss. Windows will now download and install the most up-to-date antisypyware for you. Click here to protect your computer from spyware!

it doesnt sound like a virus, but windows usually makes sure you want the program, and doesnt constantly download new programs and warn you non-stop(like every 20 seconds)

if its not a virus, can anyone tell me how to turn it off so it will stop warning me every 5 seconds and downloading random crap without asking me?

thanks so much.

It's not a virus. It's spyware. I suggest downloading Ad-Aware, SpyBot, or other anti-spyware applications. I've had the same problem, and that's all it took. You may want to run the scan in safe mode.

Safe mode loads ONLY the files/drivers necessary for Windows to function properly, leaving out all the extra stuff (like spyware/adware). If you try to scan and then delete it in normal mode, it may not work, because a file in use cannot be deleted.

This looks like a mighty suspicious spyware to me. I'd recommend you download Ad-Adware SE Personal(it's free) preferably from Download.com Update the definitions and run a full system scan. You'll find it if anything's there cause it's real cool. Also, you may want to try Webroot SpySweeper(but it's not free)

That became scareware urging you to hit its internet site. via fact you went there, it could now have downloaded some actual malware. it is now time for some actual scans. in case you have an anti-virus, verify it has the main contemporary virus definitions and run a test with it in secure Mode or secure Mode with Networking. that in many cases prevents malware from retaining itself. in case you don’t have one, many human beings right here swear via AVG (it’s loose). I recommend you apart from mght acquire advert-conscious loose and Spybot S&D (they’re loose), set up them, replace them and run them, lower back in secure Mode With Networking. additionally, turn off device fix to evict any copies of undesirable stuff that would desire to be lurking there. To get into secure Mode or secure Mode with Networking: a million. sign off and reboot your device. 2. whilst the device starts off the reboot sequence, press the F8 key persistently. 3. elect secure Mode or secure Mode with Networking from the ensuing menu. 4. Login. If the malware has replaced your password, attempt logging in as Administrator. via default, Administrator has no password. 5. The device will proceed booting, however the abode windows pc will seem different. 6. once you're complete doing what you will desire to do, sign off and reboot decrease back into widely used mode. notice that whether the anti-malware classes eliminate the malware, they don't have the potential to opposite the effects. seek the internet for achieveable fixes. replace and run each little thing in many cases, no longer in basic terms once you think of you have already got malware. good luck.

All those answers look good to me. I'm just answering this to give you the answer to a previous question (I didn't check back & see your additional info):

sec^4x - 2sec^2xtan^2x + tan^4x = tan^2x
1/cos^4x - 2sin^2x/cos^4x + sin^4x/cos^4x = sin^2x/cos^2x
1 - 2sin^2x + sin^4x = sin^2xcos^2x
(1 - sin^2x)^2 = sin^2xcos^2x
You can go many ways with this:
1 - sin^2x = ± sinxcosx
sin^2x = 1 ± sinxcosx
sinx = ± √(1 ± sinxcosx)
or
cos(2x) = 1 ± (1/2)sin(2x)
or
(1 - sin^2x)^2 = sin^2x(1 - sin^2x)
1 - sin^2x = sin^2x
2sin^2x = 1
sin^2x = 1/2
sinx = ± (1/2)√2
x = ± π/4 (+ 2nπ)
