I heard a 800-watt power supply is required for a GF 8800GTX so I am thinking if I am using a GF 8800GTS 640MB, then I might have to buy a power supply that is around 700-watt. I am currently considering buying a cooler master iGreen 600-watt power supply, do I need to change? The following is my build:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.60GHz

Motherboard: Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition NVIDIA Socket AM2 ATX Motherboard

RAM: Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz E.P.P. Memory (2 x 1024)

HDD: Seagate 160GB

Display crd: GF 8800GTS 640MB

Power supply: Cooler master iGreen 600-watt

Please advice, thanks!

I had my computer for about a year and all was fine then my DVD drive wouldn’t recognize any disks & is not recognized by the system. I called Dell and they walked me through a hundred different options to fix. Eventually something worked but now a year later (almost to the day) I am having the same problem. Any ideas y this is happening and how i can fix it on my own safely (warranty is up)?

What was the connection called before the USB was invented for computer link-up. Remember, your mouse, keyboard etc....all used to have a big bulky connection with two screws on the side. It's similar to what monitors use now. Can anyone remember the name?

I have a PC card with a 2M HD50 (high density sub-D) fully populated SCSI II. I would like an extension lead male to female HD50, to make the lead reach to 4-5 metres...

I am fully aware, that extending a SCSI lead beyond 3M violates SCSI specification.... In this instance, it is not being used as SCSI.. (it's actually a PC IO card that I am playing with, that the manufacturers use SCSI connectors on, just to be awkward!!!)

The lead needs to be fully populated, so taking the 50 way SCSI down to BD25, using a BD25 lead, then taking back up to HD50 IS NOT AN OPTION!!!

Without opening the PC Cabinet, is it possible to know:

(1) How many Fans are there in my PC?
(2) Which one is working and which one is not?
(3) What is the ideal RPM rate of PC Fan?
(4) What is the normal threshold temperature inside a PC?

Now when the computer goes to sleep, it refuses to wake up! And no shaking of the mouse or bashing of the keyboard or swearing at the monitor helps. Any suggestions?

I am developing a new pc system for use in just about any situation possible. One suggestion that was brought up to me was to provide a psu(s) that can both be mounted in the case without having a customer switch a psu out. Idealy I would like the customer to turn off the system unplug it from his her home and plug it in to an ac hard wired connection in their car. Any suggestions on how I can switch between two psus or have one created with a simple switch to allow for use in home or cars? Email me for more information if this is confusing.
