Yes, because the data is not actually deleted. The Operating System, OS, just deletes the pointers, links to where the data is actually located, and not the actual data.

Someone asked the same question just now. Don't listen to those fools who says it's impossible. It is POSSIBLE but it's not 100% guaranteed.

Here's how it works, when you emptied your recycle bin, the file that disappear actually left their foot prints behind on your hard disk. But your hard disk will pretend those foot prints as useless files that can be overwrite when needed. So the chances of recovering your files depends on if those foot prints still exist or have been overwritten by another file.

Here's a program that can do recovery. Although just a demo but it might help.

The reason the window comes up, "Are you sure..." when deleting files is because there's, 'NO WAY, Jose!'

Oh well...try researching your efforts again to get SOME thing back. If you got it once, you should be able to get it again!

No they are not. Download TuneUp Utilities 2007 and you can actually "bring back the dead." It costs money though.
