when i click on something like the next or back button of a page, it's like the mouse button double-clicks and goes 2 pages back...it also happens when i am trying to bring up a page from my toolbar, the page will pop up, then go right back down. this doesn't happen always though. this problem just started today. if i have a page open, and i open a new page on top of it, and then close out the page, it exit's out of both pages...like i said, not always...maybe 6 out of 10 times...is it the mouse or the computer??

what do i do about it?? it's VERY ANNOYING!

I don't know really how to explain this but maybe some of you can help me, everytime I click on anything I have to type in like my internet browser or any other computer situation my mouse & keyboard freezes. I've scanned my computer with 2 Anti-Virus Programs so I know it can't be a virus (hopefully) Just to clarify my system doesn't freeze just my keyboard/mouse. I didn't know if any of you could give me your opinions on what I should do....any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot

I have an envision monitor and for a while the screen was pinching in doing the things it would be doing if it was going to die. That stopped and it would randomly go into power savings mode, I finally got some ambition and did some tests. Changed video cards the problem still occurred and even worse a poor refresh rate and it the picture was fuzzy. I have now tried a different monitor with the one video card and the problem still occurs. My thoughts on it are it could be the power supply or bad ram thats all i can think of now. If anyone has any idea why this would be happening any help would be appricated.

the screen comes up with the motherboard screen with options of start system or setup. I looked in setup and it is settings for BIOS and other stuff. I have the windows 98 installation disk. what do I do to get the windows 98 to install?

I installed a new AGP grapghics card into my Motherboard (which has a default built in one) after having to remove the ram chip temporarily to have space to work, and when I boot I get constant long beeping noises and the PC fails to start. Nothing is displayed on my monitor.

My BIOS is Phoenix, motherboard is an MSI (KM4M). All my investigations point to RAM, however I an unable to verify it. Is it normal for the BIOS to beep if the RAM is missing OR faulty?
If it is RAM then it probably means an entire computer as I can no longer find DDR 300 sticks.

Could it be something to do with having multiple display cards where I should have disabled the onboard in the BIOS first (before putting in a new card) and is there a way to reset the BIOS?

Thanks for any tips.

I recently put together a computer for myself. I've done this before so I have a pretty good understanding of how to do it. After putting everything together I tried booting, which the computer did until the windows login screen. At which point the screen went blank and said "no signal." I initially thought it was because of the massive GeForce 8800GTS 640MB video card I had installed. However, after switching that out for an older 256mb ATi video card, the same thing happened. The PSU I am using is 500w so I would think that would be plenty of power, but one thing the PSU does not have is a 8 pin 12v connection, only a 4 pin. Would that cause the problem I am experiencing? Could it be an overheating issue?

The are wireless hand held scanners used for inventory control. My problem is that I need to know just how perfect these are? When I use one, sometimes it drops numbers, doesen't transmit the numbers I punch in, it goes dead in the middle of a function, sometimes it flashes 'power fault' but then continues on, etc... my employer says this is impossible because these guns are perfect! Does anyone else have anything they can tell me about these scanners or about maintinence they should have.... anything would be appreciated. I know these guns are screwing up.

I got a cpu, monitor, and all the accessories that go along with it by my Gpops. It's relatively new with an LCD monitor instead of the seeminlgy prehistoric TV monitors and it looks to be in good shape with no major mishandling dents are marks. The problem is that when i set this jawn up it don't start. I was thinkin' it could be the power chord, the chord that connects the 3-pronged piece on the tower to the electrical outlet. However, that was not the case. It just won't start up no matter how many times i press the power button or hold it down or any other kind of method known by me. Since it's not startin', does this mean that the cpu is trash and irreparable, or is there hope that it can be saved. My guess is that it won't start becuz it hasn't been used for a year, like i said before, it's relatively knew.
