If the CD is a recent or new release from a major record label, it's probably got anti-piracy DRM rootkit software built right into the CD which physically prevents the software from copying the songs through traditional means. If you want to stay on the straight and narrow, you really can't do anything about this, sadly, as cracking the piracy protection software will result in copyright infringement.

which program are you using i use windows media player or nero. You really do have to burn them though. But you have to burn a CD-R if you burn a CD-RW you can only play it on your computer.

Try using a clean c.d and then if that doesn't work use a Cd_RW disk.

If that doesn't work use a different type of disk.
