On windows vista (home premium) how do i change what my start button does? i mean the one when you click start, you can see the on/off sign. right now what it does is it puts my laptop on sleep mode.

1)Click the Windows Pearl (Start)
2)Click 'Control Panel'
3)Click 'System and Maintenance'
4)Click 'Power Options'
5)Click 'Change plan settings' under Balanced or whichever you have checked off.
6)Click 'Change advanced power settings'
7)Click the + beside 'Power buttons and lid' then the + beside 'Start menu power button'

From there you can modify it to Shutdown, Hibernate, or Sleep the system.
