When I first start it up it's fine. Then after a little while the mouse cursor starts moving slower than I am moving the mouse and I have to wait for it to catch up. After a little while longer, the mouse stops working altogether and the pointer is just frozen on the screen. I then have to do an improper shutdown because I am unable to access the menus to close my work etc and and click the shut down icons without a mouse.
This happens whether I have one or 5 programs running - it doesnt seem to make a difference which is why I doubt it is a RAM problem. Besides, I have 512MB and only really run IE and Microsoft Office programs.

This is getting very annoying as I use my computer for work and I am losing important files through improper shutdowns. Would a new mouse help or do you think this is a problem with the PC itself?

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Many thanks

I dont have Windows Working properly due to a system deleted file. I've been able to back up my music n files , by burning it onto disc. Im thinking of using an ext HD to get the rest off. Im wondering if i will be able to transfer file to it, even though windows isnt working?. I dont think the ext drive needs soft to install.

I noticed many of our server cables are thicker than the standard ones for a desktop PC. Would any power cable work, regardless of gauge? I want to use shorter server power cables for cable management purposes, since some of our server cables are over 10-15 ft. in length and only need 3 ft. or so.

I have a dell PC and they advised against upgrading the PSU because the existing components are designed to work with the existing power supply. They said if I upgrade the PSU it may cause compatibility issues.

Is this true?

Hello, I've just bought a 9800 Pro and would like some advice on heat issues. Overheating seems to be a common problem with this card, and I wondered if anyone out there knows if this is relative to the GPU, the VRAM or both?

I am going to get some RAM sinks so this should help the memory stay cooler.

Also is the stock HSF ok or not? I don't intend overclocking the card at all.

Thanks in advance
