I dont have Windows Working properly due to a system deleted file. I've been able to back up my music n files , by burning it onto disc. Im thinking of using an ext HD to get the rest off. Im wondering if i will be able to transfer file to it, even though windows isnt working?. I dont think the ext drive needs soft to install.

If you bought through a manufacture (I.E. Legit copy of windows) and the Key is still on your PC...Microsoft will send you a new copy gratis. Same thing happend to me. Otherwise, external HD could probably still work if you can use the DOS command prompt.

is the external hard drive usb? most usb hard drives dont need any special software to install. since u have been able to burn discs, im assuming u still have the ability to copy files, in which case an external drive should be ok. also after u backup, you will need the windows disc to reinstall.

hi, probably. The processor has 2 bottlenecks at the same time as it includes having access to information on the computer: the quantity and style of memory put in, and the dimensions and style of hard drive. considering that homestead windows makes use of loose disk area fro digital memory (not straightforward stress area used as memory instead of the ram chips put in on your motherboard), having more beneficial disk area frees more beneficial area (get it?) i'm making use of an exterior hard drive to save music and footage and backups, yet i visit't say that it has brought about my computer to run heavily speedier. i visit assert this, in spite of the undeniable fact that. the computer receives correct of entry to the exterior stress each each now and then, and that easily SLOWS down my performance. nevertheless, i guidance all my consumers to purchace a exterior stress as backup in case the (gasp) unthinkable occurs and homestead windows or easily one of your inner drives fail.
