I was upgrading my computer but the computer would not boot from the cd. so i took the hard drive out of the computer and insert it into a different pc, installed the os on the hard drive. It worked fine. Then I took the hard drive out of the the computer and put it back in the orginial pc and it does not boot up. I get a blue screen with an error message that says: a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
How can I fix this? How can I get the hard drive to work in the first pc?

I must of hit a button accidentally, as all my MSN, Yahoo, Googles etc. on My DESKTOP when opened are in a "small screen mode." How do I fix this so that it will be maximized again permanently. I can max with the square button at the top right hand corner but it's getting to be a real pain to have to do this time after time. I have a Dell AMD 64, Athalon Dimension E521, Microsoft Windows XP.

I HAVE 2GB OF PC3200 IN MY COMPUTER. IT IS ONLY RUNNING AT 200MHZ. I THOUGHT THAT PC3200 RUNS AT 400MHZ. I DO NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT MEMORY. PLEASE HELP

Once I turn it on it starts making a clicking sounds, I press F2 to go to the settings everything seems normal except that sometimes under hardware it will read unknown. The trouble started after I was trying to shut down and was trying to end a program or file I hadn't seen before... capp or something like that.... anyone?

I was toying w/ getting a 8800 GTX. Would a Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 (2.66 GHz) fully realize the potential of the video card. Or, does the CPU become the bottleneck. I know the two will work great together. However, the GTX might outpace the E6700. Perhaps a GTS will do?? If the video card out performs the CPU, then any future video card upgrades are meaningless w/out the an upgrade to the CPU??

I just bought a pc3200 sdram for my AMD athlon 2600 plus. My comp has Windows Vista Home premium. When i restarted my computer up my rating for my comp dropped for some reason. It was 2.4 before and now it is a 1.8. I had 512 mb of ram before and now i have 1 gb. I dont get it it says i installed 1 gb but why did my rating drop? I took the ram out and reinstalled it. And the rating is the same thing. Plz help

I'm planning on purchasing a quad-core (Intel extreme 2.66 or 2.93), dual graphics card (Nvidia 8800s) setup and was planning on adding 4GB of RAM.

Although I've discovered that only the 64bit Vista can support 4GB, which is apparetly primarily used by pro-gamers or scientists (as opposed to the 32bit used by most consumers).....what's the deal.......? Should I stick with 4GB and use the 64bit Vista or downgrade to 2GB and use the 32bit? How easy would it be to switch between the two, what's the necessary procedure?

This morning when I've turned my PC ON nothing appeared on the monitor, only black screen with nothing on!!! Don't say the intel one because ur an intel fanboy or amd cuz u'r an amd fan.I want to know generally, which one performs better( gaming,multitasking,web serfing,using office applications etc)?Btw athlonx2 6000+ costs 302$CAD and core 2 duo e6600 costs 373$CAD.Is the core 2 duo e6600 worth the extra 71$ over 6000+?or 6000+ is actually better and cheaper?Tnx.

I'd like to add a second dual core processor later so that computer would eventually be a "quad core", but I'd like to start with just one dual core processor. Can this be done? Does anyone know what AMD processors this can be done with?
