Is it true that Micosoft Works can only be sent via email to other mac computers and not to pc computers?

If you mean documents created by Microsoft Works, no, it is not true. Microsoft Works documents created on Works for Mac can be read on Mac, Windows, and Linux (w/3rd party tools) platforms without trouble.

No, not at all. Most (all?) PC's that come with Windows come with a copy of Microsoft Works.

In fact, I would be more likely to believe the reverse, since most Microsoft products are designed for PC's, but I'm pretty sure that they're usable across the board.
