Plain and simple, you cant if your mobo doesnt support that bus speed.

The memory is DDR which stands for Double Data Rate.

DDR400(or PC3200) runs at the bus speed of 200mhz x 2 which equals 400mhz.

DDR333(PC2700) runs at 166MHZ x 2 = 333MHz.

DDR266(PC2100) runs at 133Mhz x 2 = 266Mhz

It's "double data rate" RAM and so it's displayed as 200mhz per. What you're seeing is perfectly normal...it's running at 400mhz.

The speed at which the memory runs is determined by the stem board. If the board only runs at 200, then that is the fastest the memory will run. Some boards have jumpers or settings to up the memory speed. Check the documentation (or website) for you system. It will have that information. (Unfortunately you did not list what board you have).

you cant change the mhz of your ram;the reason for this is because your memory bus slots is only 200mhz.check out egghead to see what kind of memory your comp suppose to have;i know alot guys that dont do there research before buying ram for thier comp and 75% of the time get the wrong size or type

in simple terms get any DDR workstation 3200 RAM on your workstation it is going to artwork. being your workstation is obviously mass produced. yet you need to ensure the voltage is a million.8 and no greater as a results of fact you could no longer improve the voltage to RAM in a mass produced computing gadget.

Your motherboard has to support that speed and so does your CPU. If either of those don't support the 400Mhz speed, it will not work at that speed.
