I get an error message on the desktop screen that says no connection. I've tried unplugging it from the outlet and nothing. I was advised from someone at your co. last week to restore my computer, which I did and ever since then, it hasn't worked. When I push the button in for about (20) seconds to turn it off and back on it still doesn't work. My desktop screen doesn't come on either. My CD compartment on the 'hard drive computer" doesn't come out either when I press the button. Usually I get a solid green light around the circle part on the computer when it gets turned on, but I have a solid brown/tan light instead. I can't do absolutely nothing.

I'm using an 8 year old computer that I had built for me. I am in the market for a new one, and if I'm not able to find a reputable place to build one, I'm wondering what is the best commercial brand to go for. Suggestions?

Happened all at once, but had problems with computer date being reset to original bios date for several months prior. Downloaded Rocket time and right after that is when everything happened.
Computer will boot from CD, but will not boot hard drive. tried safe mode, but gets to a point in loading and then stops.
Bad Harddrive?? or Virus???

...and I just wanted to run some specs for those who know how Oblivion runs under certain settings. My budget gamer PC would have the following:
Windows XP 2nd Edition
768 RAM
ATI Athlon 64 3200+ 516 MB Cache
ATI Radeon X1650 Pro 256 MB Cache

I also need to buy a DVD ROM, but that's beside the point.

Also, for the overclockers out there, I have always heard negative things about overclocking, but I still want to toy with my AMD Athlon XP 1700 + because I am replacing it anyways. What is the life of your processor after you overclock? How long did it last? What would you suggest I try to overclock to with my old processor.

Thanks a bunch!

nVidia 8800 consumes 2 case slots. rendering the PCI slot adjasent unusable but was woundering about a pci ribbon adapter long enough for some form of seperate platform away so that i can still use that bus without removing the video card. now is there any such thing out there in the market that is what i imagine in my head or is there another solution toward this problem?

Ehh, sorry again but this time after I downloaded the same thing again, (nvidia) it worked but I couldn't get the size right, There was like an inch left of black to the right of the side and other sizes were all disfigured. I can work with my size but now the toolbar is gone. (The thing on the bottom with the start) How do I make it come back? And when I click on a file, it won't pop up

I purchased my computer in 2005 and it is run on Windows XP. Recently everytime I turn off the computer or reboot it, the program "Power Meter" comes up and says that it needs to end the program before shutting down the computer. To me, a power problem in a computer can not be any good.

Does anyone have any advice?
